Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Previous guests had left bags of rubbish in the cupboards which had not been removed before our stay.
The staff were very polite and welcomed us with a plate of fresh fruit upon arrival. The room was large and blocked out sound well despite being close to a busy street. It has good facilities, we found the freezer and kettle particularly useful. The location is good, not too far from the main attractions in the city.

Although Breakfast was good, could add variety! Only a suggestion.
Really nice hosts. Good location. Good clean well laid out rooms. We a family of four had a great time staying at this hotel. Lee and Jan gave us lots of tips about tours, etc.

We had some problems with the door and getting in at bottom of the apartment building. However the staff were around to assist and sort out the issue.
Nice breakfast, staff so friendly and helpful, bed was very comfortable, central location. Absolutely fantastic value for the price point and would happily stay again.

Jan & Lee were super kind and helpful, couldn't ask for better hosts. Nicely located in the middle of Ho Chi Minh, everything was within walking distance. They also served excellent breakfast and Vietnamese coffee. Would recommend this hostel to anyone coming to HCM, thanks Jan & Lee

The only complaint was trying to find the place. But this is being nitpicky, because someone came out and show us the way in. So it was not a big deal. Wish there were more table to sit at breakfast because we felt like we had to rush through our meal because there were lots of guest waiting to be seated.
Host was super friendly. Even though we knew this place was ran by the family but we were so surprise of how well it was ran. We did not get the room we requested but the replacement room was super clean and comfortable. Breakfast included was amazing and the coffee kept flowing when we ask for more.

The staffs and owners are very approachable. The area of the Hostel is also nice because it is near to the Tourist sites, Markets and Restaurants. Would definitely recommend this to my Friends who will travel to Ho chi minh soon.

Fantastic location. Staff are the most lovey and friendly people I’d met on my trip, wasn’t happy with my original room but changed it no problem and was very happy after. Breakfast was delicious and offered to prepare breakfast for my checkout at 3am!

Apparently every morning I always find my door open eventhough the night before I already locked the door. But thankfully nothing missing. I don’t know because it’s the wind or what.
I really like the owner, the staff and the environment. It’s really easy to go anywhere. Not hard to find. The breakfast is really good. And the room is so much bigger than I thought because Jan give me choices to pick.

When you arrive first you get some really nice fruits and some tee. That is very great. The owner was very kind. Breakfast was good and you had a few choices. The room was normal and everything was clean.

The property was very clean and close to all attractions of Ho Chi Minh City. Jan and her husband gave us many recommendations of things to do and places to eat in the city! Nothing that troubled us. You could in the distance slightly hear the night clubs, but it was not loud and we could sleep perfectly.
Everything was great. Jan and lee are very helpful, reachable and kind. Breakfast was very good, with all good choices. We thankfully used the laundry service. They gave us advice on the public bus system. Everything was clean and the bed was extremely comfy! I can recommend this hotel
