Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsIt could use some upgrades, our bathroom smelled a bit funky and the showerhead was broken.
The location was perfect, close to all the main attractions ☺️ Also special thanks to Moon, she was so lovely and so helpful! The breakfast included was also really nice and had a lot of variety.

The location is very convenient, just behind the famous walking street. The whole staff of the Hostel was very helpful, they even shared all the recommendations for the places to explore and eat. The breakfast served was also good

JapanWe’d pay VND962,500 par night but It's not worth the price. The room was different from the one I booked, and the staff told us that had been upgraded to a larger room, but the shower and toilet room had to be accessed through the balcony, which was inconvenient. There were many differences from the photos. There was no TV, no instant coffee, the duvet white sheets were nothing, the bed was unsanitary, and we were bitten by ticks a lots.

AustraliaThe side street means you have to meet transport out on main street. You are close to Bui Vien street so you hear music all night through the walls. The doors are glass with no blinds so very bright at night.
Staff were very friendly and very central location. The breakfast each morning was nice.

AustraliaThe shower nozzle was impossible to direct so the water spilled under the door. Also, the bathroom was in an inconvenient location. There wasn't a TV in the room and the only mirror was in the bathroom.

GermanyThe hotel is next to the party street and there is significant noise all night long. The bedsheets make room smell heavy softener perfume which makes it very difficult to breathe in the room. Difficult to get clean air, a bit uncomfortable, overall it is difficult to sleep in the room.
The location is very central and the staff are very helpful and kind, they helped us very politely with dinner recommendations and laundry.

GreeceThe room had a lot of humidity and you could smell it and also see it in some parts on the wall. However the aircondition was working fine and it balanced the atmoshpere.
It was in a good area near the city centre and you could walk to the main sightseeings. Breakfast was tasty and the stuff very friendly..

United StatesThe room was really rough and in bad condition. It looked nothing like the photos. There was a water leak and mold, along with a mold smell. There were no windows or natural light in the room, just a sliding door that opened to a small interior space. The room had a bug problem, but at least the were geckos too in the room keeping the bugs in check? They also had a 3% card payment fee that wasn't disclosed before the booking.
Staff were really nice and it's a good central location.

BelgiumBut unfortunately, a lot went wrong during my stay. The room I had booked was ‘unavailable’ for two of the four nights so I ended up sleeping in three different rooms. My eventual room had a broken lock so I had to change again, only to be put in a room with a lot of street noise and barely any water coming out of the shower (the latter was fixed by replacing the shower head). They offered me a free taxi to the airport but I can still not recommend this accommodation, unfortunately.
Moon and her family were perhaps the best hosts I ever had the pleasure of meeting! Breakfast was really good. Even though the menu is limited, the dishes change as they work with fresh ingredients every day.

FranceThe mattress is way too soft, I couldn't sleep and got back pain. The owner told me it was top quality before its face admitted it was bad, but he then told me no one complained about it in review, so here is the first one. Also a lot of noise from the apartment/family next to my room. Bad isolation, must have better option even in the same street

ItalyThe room cleaning can be improved, there was a lot of hair on the floor. Also, breakfast is 7-9 am. Maybe making it until 10 am would be useful.
Although the property is two minutes away from the main walking party street, the hostel is in a quiet position. Just 10-20 minutes walking from the main attractions, it's a perfect (short) stay in Saigon. The staff also was really nice and helpful, they kept our luggage after checkout and there's a common bathroom if you need to take a shower.

United KingdomIt was VERY loud at night. The music from beer street was loud until 5am. Not loud enough that I was up all night, but definitely loud enough that it took a while to fall asleep. The cleaning of the room was also not great, when I checked in there were hairs all around the sink and toilet. But as a male solo traveller, I didn’t care hugely 🤣
Definitely a very basic, small room, but it had everything you needed. Bed was really comfortable and the breakfast was good value. Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend, just a few tweaks needed…

Czech RepublicVery basic things were missing in my room: TV, kettle, table on the terrace. I got another room with these things. The reasoning was that families with children risk destroying them. I am not a family with children (solo traveller), I booked 5 months ago, there was plenty of time to take care of the room facilities before my arrival. Jan became angry and downright unpleasant and refused to make eye contact, both that day and for the rest of the stay. I wanted to change hotels so bad! The TV did not have an aerial or cable TV and was therefore useless for most people. When I also realised that there was no bedside lamp and that it was necessary to use my phone as a torch when I went to bed, I simply tried to buy one so as not to be "difficult" again. However, I couldn't find one and Moon solved the problem. In general, the furnishings are cheap, poor quality and uncharming. The scheduling of regular room refreshing is unusual: you have to leave your room after 2pm if you want to have a chance to refresh your room. Everywhere else does it in the morning. I usually have work to do in the afternoon, and in one week I only managed to get the room refreshed twice, both times because I left the room for the same reason. Jan's answer below is not truthful.
Moon at the reception is outstanding. The fruit plate on arrival is lovely My room was spacious The location is central and yet slightly secluded, which is nice
