Jan and her husband are the cutest hosts! They made us feel at home and they were super nice. The rooms are clean and the hotel is close to everything. Definitely recommend!!

The aircon in room 404 was by the entrance and didn’t make it to the bed, so it was too warm to sleep decently at night. Being top floor we could hear and see the music and lights from the party street next door which didn’t help. I think it would be better on the ground floor out of direct sunlight and with the aircon above the bed.

The staff make the guests feel like family. I’ll visit again just to experience that homely feel on the road :)

The beds are very comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Great choices for breakfast, fresh fruit and best Vietnamese iced coffee. Jan and Lee are very very helpful. You can do an early check in or late check out and leave your bags. Tucked in the lanes and easy walk to Bassac Street. Other people were booking tours via Jan and Lee and talked about how well the tours were run and the tour operators were meeting them at the hostel. We arrived at 1am and the email Jan Hostel sent about getting the taxi from the airport to the hotel was excellent.

Great location, close to lots of things but also quiet enough at night. Jan and his partner are so lovely and happy to give suggestions for places to eat and things to do. The morning breakfast is incredible! We will be staying here again!

Nice central hostel with good athmosphere and really friendly staff. I enjoyed my stay totally. I planned to stay 3 nights but extended to 5. Jan and Lee are running the hostel with a lot of love and passion. After a few days it felt like coming home after daytrips or walking through the city. The hostel is in a backstreet of the main party road and really in the centre. I walked to all museums. I would recommend the hostel to friends. :-)

- great, very central location - very nice staff - very comfortable beds - tasty breakfast with surprisingly a lot of choice - complimentary fruit plate - really not that noisy despite being close to the party street and in comparison with other hotels in Vietnam All in all, amazing value for money!

The outside of our room was located right by an alleyway where people sometimes ride their motorbikes or talk to each other making it difficult to sleep. We were woken up early one morning by so much noise outside and saw that there was a wedding or wedding preparations with lots of people dressed up and hanging out, talking loudly and laughing right outside our window. It was surprising and funny and kind of cute but I wasn’t able to go back to sleep again. Air circulation in bathroom is not optimal and hence ceiling has some water damage.

The room is a bit too tight for two people. The walls are made from something I couldn't recognize and this material allow light to get in easily, so when someone walked around outside during night it felt almost like someone was turning on the room's light (not that strong, but bothers a bit). Breakfast western's option is not good. Better to stick to Vietnamese or have it somewhere else.

Jan and Lee are very helpful and friendly. All places they recommended for food were great. Vietnamese options for breakfast are really tasty. Despite being very close to the crazy night street (can't recall its name), you can't hear a thing from there.

I booked this hostel at the end of my Vietnam trip , the location is really good as it’s just a small walk to the main walking street. War museum is also at a walking distance of 2-3 kms. It’s a clean and nice hostel. The main thing is the hospitality. We were provided with large room when the host saw our bags. He also made us food for the road as we had a 2.00 am flight. He arranged both pick up and drop vehicles for us on request. These things were so thoughtful and really touched our hearts !! And we left Vietnam feeling great ! Thanks a lot.

Nothing, everything was amazing!

Jan and Lee are incredibly nice and ensure a nice atmosphere at their hostel. After the first night, we already knew we had to stay there again when we came back to Ho Chi Minh. Even though it is right next to Bui Vien street, we where never bothered by the noice. As a big bonus the Pho for breakfast is amazing.
