Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt’s a bit damp but this is not the fault of the hosts. The electrical sockets in my room do not work however I charged my devices in the hallway and that was fine.
Location was good- very peaceful and away from the noise of the main town but still walking distance. I like that they provide a kettle and tea station in the hallway because I was able to boil water for drinking and so could avoid buying bottled water.

BelgiumIn the family there is 1 woman who speaks english, she was not present during our time so we had a difficult time to communicate. Price-quality is defintely very good, but we did not really feel very welcome. More like a room you simply rent and enter/exit when you want to go to the city. Not a place to chill. But very nice room!
The room was clean and I must say the beds are really comfortable and soft. Very soft mattress! A 10min walk out of the centre of Sa Pa, the advantage of this was that it's much more quiet.

It is actually a homestay run by a lovely family. They were very friendly and helpful. They also provided extra blankets as it was very cold. The room was nice.

ChileIt could be a bit closer to the city center, but isn't that far either.
All you need for a few days while discovering Sapa. The owner was very flexible regarding our arrival time and helped us to rent a motorbike cheap.

NetherlandsNothing really. Point of improvement: we booked a room with garden view and a double bed but got a different one with single beds. In the end we didn't mind as we liked our room and it was superfoggy so views weren't anywhere haha. But in general offer on booking what you really have so there is no confusion.
Lovely guesthouse! Very clean and quiet. Big rooms and hot water! It's a bit outside the center(like a 10 min walk) which we preferred as sapa has a lot of tourism. We arrived at 3 in the morning with the night bus and we were able to check in this early for only a small price more. They can help with motorbikes for a good price. Definitely recommend!

ThailandThe house was incredibly cold and damp. This shows with mold in the stairwell and bathroom. We had to be fully clothed inside our room.
The location is nice and we were allowed to check in early after arriving at 7 am. The bed had a heated blanket.

PortugalI didn't like the fact that the building was a little poorly maintained and the walls in the bedroom and the bathroom ceiling in particular were damp. The door closed/opened with difficulty and the windows themselves also did not work well and were poorly insulated, namely the rooster noise that wakes guests up every morning (6am). The room had a TV but no remote to operate it. I also didn't like that there was no ventilation available (air conditioning or fan) and that the establishment had no breakfast option available.
I liked the friendliness and diligence of the receptionist. I liked the size of the room and the shower itself, which looked new and was clean (something that is quite rare to find).

The girl at the reception is so nice. We checked in in the middle of the night and she opened the door for us. We paid a very small extra for this early check-in. The room is quite spacious, with everything you need and with a nice view (you can see the mountains !!). They kept our bags for free during our trek. You can reach the city center easily by walk. They booked the bus for us and offered a taxi drop off for a cheap price. We highly recommend!
