Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Our room had a window that was looking in another room just a one meter away (I think that is the case for all rooms for only 2 person and bigger rooms have windows ). Because of the close proximity of the building the air was not really moving when we opened the windows so the room was quite damp. The bed was also a bit hard. Don’t expect a hostel vibe. There are no community spaces for socialising with fellow travellers. However these are just small inconveniences , all in all we had a lovely stay and even prolonged it for 2 nights! :))
The staff was really nice and always ready to help! The accommodation is on a cute quiet street with a lot of street food vendors nearby. You can get to more touristy area in 15min by walking. I think the location definitely offers “best of both worlds”. I would recommend doing laundry here as well. The room also had a tv that is connected to WiFi so you can watch Netflix or YouTube. It definitely has a hotel vibe not hostel so it’s quite at night.

Everything was good.
Nice hostel in a great location, very close to the city centre. Plenty of dining options around. The room was clean, and so was the bathroom. The staff is absolutely amazing! Thanks so much.

Great location, about a 10 minute walk to the centre! The owner is very friendly and a great guy! The barbers (F20) next door is also pretty decent if you need a haircut. Also, you get fresh towels and water everyday.

Beds were very hard, I had to roll myself in the duvet to be slightly more comfortable. The set up with the shower is slightly annoying as water goes everywhere.
Really lovely family who own the place. Room was good, hot shower, fridge and the fan was great to have. We LOVED the duvets, they were super comfortable for us.

The water heater wasn't hot enough for my liking.
The owner is terrific, he is a very pleasant person, super helpful and caring! He offered us to check-in early, and check out late for free. Overall, he is such a friendly and kind person, and we will definitely recommend people to stay at his place.

The staff were very friendly. We were able to get laundry done, information for the tours around and they also helped us get a taxi to the airport for early in the morning. Very helpful and we’re very friendly. The room was very clean and spacious and so were the facilities.

value for money was amazing the family who own it are wonderful and very welcoming we needed to work in the nights and they were very accommodating and we could rent a scooter from them which was the best part by far we loved it would highly recommend that you do this.

The manager/owner is the most lovely person ever! We needed to check out a night early and he was so accommodating and friendly. It is a perfect stay-you have everything you need and the manager talks you through the WiFi, shower and helps you with your bags. Would definitely recommend

The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. The owner of the Hostel did not speak much English but we managed with google translate. We could rent a very good quality scooter for a good price and also the owner helped us booking our bus to Ho Chi Minh. He was really kind and helpful and we would much recommend to stay at this hostel!

Didn’t really have a window that looked outside but again for the price it wasn’t that much of an issue for us.
very good value for money and the host was so incredibly helpful with everything. He gave us great places to see and was such a pleasure to chat too. Great location as it’s not too central but easy to get to.

everything was perfect
I booked the standard room which was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom just what you need. there were towels, shower gel and shampoo, tooth paste, and other toiletries. also small fridge and kettle. and TV. the linen smelled so good, so did the towels :) the owner was so nice and helpful. I really appreciated my stay here and would go back if I am back in Da lat. also good location. close to little shops to buy water, and walking distance from the city. the neighbourhood was quiet.

The location and the owner of the place. It's a very friendly hostel and when we arrived at 5 in the morning the owner gave us the room right away so we could have a little bit of sleep.
