We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNo ATM in the hotel Supposing to be a 5 stars resort … The closest ATM was 10 km from the hotel.
Positive: “The hotel is perfect for families, offering plenty of activities and a vibrant atmosphere.” Negative: “However, if you’re seeking peace and quiet, it may not be ideal as there are many children and a lively environment.”

VietnamThe air conditioner is a bit loud especially at night. The light control/service buttons inside the room are all in English. It'd be good if there are notes in Vietnamese or translations for guests who do not understand English.
Excellent customer service, high-end facilities, pirate-themed design, great breakfast buffet options

GermanyOn the downside: the gym was way too hot and it wasn't possible to change the temperature, it was always a struggle to get towels at the pool, guests would claim the beds around the pool with towels all day despite not being there for hours on end, the dinner buffet wasn't great, wifi could be a little better and the area around the resort is quite strange.
It was a bit of a mixed stay at this resort, some good things: breakfast was great, the staff were very friendly and the resort has a nice concept. There were some very good local seafood restaurants in close walking distance too.

GermanyOld dishes from the afternnon were still standing on the table in the evening. Somebody put his towel on the desk next to the elevator and was still there 2 daya.later. The buggy guy brought us to the bus station although he knew that the bus only comes in 30 Minutes. So he wanted to sell us other attractions. Took our phone number and and sold it to the restaurants to call us. The nany at the kids club was not speaking english. Sylvester buffet only fish. What about those people who have allergy or do not like fish? New Year Party was very low standard. Extrem loud music and guests had to collect information about it. No pro-active advertising. Not a 5 Star standard
The pool area and kids playground was nice. Also thr rooms were big and comfortable.

AustraliaThe pool areawas small. They only seem to be an adult pool which didn't have enough pool chairs/loungers. There pool area around the ship was very shallow. Also, if you wanted to order food around the pool, he had to walk up to the restaurant and do it.
The pirate theme Hotel was a bit random, but it was cute for the kids. Compared to the other Movenpick in Vietnam, it was on the smaller scale, however it had the same offerings. Prices were good considering it was peak period over New Year's Eve however the New Year's Eve buffet was a bit disappointing. Location was good- walking distance to smaller restaurants and theme parks.

AustraliaI loved everything. What may seem to be drawback is actually a bonus. Staff and locals there may not speak English. Services may not be super fast. It is not as commercialised or tourist-centric as Ho Chi Minh or other Asian countries. But, these were positives for us. This is what we wanted.
This is a perfect place for families with little children and those who want to relax and wind down. Our stay was 10 out of 10. There is a beach right in front of the resort. The water park and wonderland and other kids' activities are within walking distance (10 mins). Otherwise, the resort has a free shuttle bus. The staff do not have great English but they are super hospitable and helpful. The buffet breakfast has everything you need. The toilets and the whole resort are clean and tidy. The resort has two very good restaurants. Plus, right in front of the restaurant, there is a Cai Hang Sea Food Restaurant, an excellent restaurant. The resort also has Spa and Massage Service and it is 7 stars for sure. The resort itself is located in a quiet place at Phan Thiet and is away from hustle and bustle and tourist infested area. For the price you pay at this resort, I am happy to give 10 out of 10. If you want to do any extra activity, you can take a cab and all these activities (sand dune jeep ride, bike ride on the desert, market places, cable car ride etc.) all are within 20 - 40 mins' drive.

IrelandMy only negative part was dinner in the restaurant. Service there was terrible. They seemed to struggle with the number of guests which meant we were waiting for a long time for food (nearly an hour both nights). The wait staff also seemed to be poorly trained for a 5 star resort. One of the nights there was an event in the upstairs restaurant so we were sent downstairs, no problem. I ordered a draught beer and after 25 minutes we asked where it was and the waitress said she couldn't get draught beer because of the event upstairs so she got me a bottle (not sure why it took this long to tell me). Then 5 minutes later a different waitress got a draught beer for the table beside me.
I really enjoyed staying at Movenpick. The moment you walk in there is a very warm feeling and we were greeted by the concierge. We were shown to our room (family suite) which was perfect for my family. It was clean, comfortable and my kids loved it. The admiral lounge was included in the suite and this was fantastic, I wish I spent more time there.

AustraliaThere was not much to dislike the only dislike was the 2.5 hours drive from Ho chi minh city.
We love the staff working there, they were all amazing and always willing to assist with a smile. Food was fanastic. Great facilities for the family. Kids love the pool , kids club and we love the private ship and theme throught out the hotel. Our room was so clean and the bed was so comfortable. The resort is close to the beach, water theme park and carnival rides just a few minutes shuttle ride away. Can do as much or as little as you like. This place went beyond our expections. A must visit !!! We will visit again with golf clubs next time.

CanadaThe beach wasn't that nice. Maybe it's because it's winter? But it was very dirty. Washed up shoes etc. I personally wouldn't be picking this hotel/location if you want a beach hotel.
Our stay was fantastic. We had the family bunk room, and it was huge, very comfortable, and clean. It had everything you could need. The staff were super nice and very attentive. The food was ok. I wouldn't be rushing bk to the restaurant, but it was sufficient. The pools were lovely. The spa is great. The kids loved the kids' club. The weather wasn't great while we were there, but we still had an awesome time. We never made it to chocolate hour somehow! But the admiral lounge was great for snacks and cocktail hour and also for a quieter, less busy breakfast venue.

PolandThe neighbourhood isn’t particularly interesting, mainly other hotels. We also had problems with hot water in the shower. There is no point of booking half-board package because the dinner set menu actually costs less than half-board.
The hotel is great, with a lot of amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed yoga and massage classes with Sang. The room is great, everything’s clean and new. The dosing is interesting :)

Australiathe lighting system are terrible—they are all dimmed so it’s too dark during the day. swimming pool is small—compared to most 5-star hotel resorts I’ve been to, on the same price point. extremely packed—we feel like, the hotel resort is small in scale, with not many communal spaces for group chilling and relaxing, you will end up either staying in the room, and bored, and also as there’s not many outdoor activities this resort can offer.
