We really enjoyed our 4 nights at Hanoi Old Quarter hostel. The 4 bedroom dorm was really well set-up, with wrap around curtains and a good cubby that locks (as well as a full size locker) for each bed. The bathroom was really clean and we appreciated that the cleaning staff came through each day. The free beers at 6.30pm also meant the we had plenty of opportunities for socialising with other travellers which was great. Would definitely recommend this place!

Disturbed sleep due to bathroom inside the small dorm room which made it noisy in the night as other guests kept leaving the bathroom light on and door open. Music very loud on Christmas eve. Everyone complaining as we couldn't talk

Very nice location as it is calm and very near hoan kiem lake. The staff is speaking english and is very friendly, the facilities are clean and well made. The free beer hour is the best to socialise with other travellers. Thank you for this incredible place 👍👍

This hostel has been the best I've stayed in in Vietnam! The location is fantastic, situated in the Old Quarter! And even though it's so central because it's located down a side alley you hear no noise at night! They do free beer from 6.30 to 7 in the common area so it's really easy to meet and connect with other travelers!

Clean, plenty of bathrooms, nice little cubbies and plugs for each bed. the tours are excellent. Lee and Nancy really know what they are doing and put together a very memorable trip for me. Free beers at 630pm is a great way to meet other travelers.

Slightly more expensive than other hostels in Hanoi - this could however be a case of getting what you pay for but I have nothing else to compare it to.

I stayed in this hostel on two separate occasions during my travels of North Vietnam, the first time I was in the 6-bed female only dorm and the second time, the 10-bed mixed dorm. Both rooms were comfortable and clean, the female only dorm has an ensuite bathroom which is an added bonus but the separate bathroom for the 10-bed was also fine - never had issues with cleanliness or being too busy. The beds were one of the comfier hostel beds I've experienced and they were a good size with a duvet, rather than just a sheet. There is a nice vibe at this hostel and the free walking tours and free beer each day make it really easy to meet people. The best part however is the staff that work on reception. They are all super friendly and helpful and in my experience, make an effort to remember the names of guests staying at the hostel.

I like the facility, ambience, staff was kind. The hostel organizes events like morning walking tour, hotpot etc. Also, there was free beer every evening during 6:30pm to 7pm. I enjoyed this session and made many new friends.

Amazing staff. They will help you resolve your issue. Super glad I stayed at this hostel. I recommend the 6 people room over the 10-12 people room. More spacious and way quieter if you value the quality of your sleep. The hostel has plenty of free events.

The hostel is amazing, the location is perfect, a little chaotic but thats how the Old Quarter is. Lee and Nancy are the best, they are helping you all the time with tours, the bus tickets and everything, just amazing people.

Very friendly staff. Easy to mingle with other travellers. They have happy hours, free beers from 6.30pm to 7pm. Good power outlets, so charging phones and power bank is fast. I recommend the cooking class on Friday morning.

everything was perfect. the staff is so friendly and helpfull, they helped me arrange my ha giang loop (which was amazing) and sapa. the hostel was clean, the rooms are good, the beds are comfy and the breakfast they serve is good. lots of social vibes and not as party as some of the other hostels, which i think is perfect.

The downstairs area echoes when there are many people in there, would be good if they put up some curtains or sth.

The female dorm was really spacious and the bed was super comfy. The area downstairs is very social and the staff is really helpful. Even when I came back after 10 days they remembered my name!

The staff area really helpful and they are kind. Because my arrival is in the morning and passed through customs taking too long time. the previous one according to my arrival time left,they just helped me to arranged another car. They let me take shower ,take rest and recommend something nice to visit. I got plan changed, they are patient and considerate that changing my stay date. Overall, the staff are super good!

Let me start off with Nancy - she is the head customer service agent at the hostel > she is simply AMAZING! She organized everything for me from A-Z. She is such a kind human, found the best deals for me, and booked all my trips and transport throughout my stay. SHE DESERVES A PROMOTION! and I think i can speak for everyone when I say she is the BEST!!!! she answers texts right away, makes changes instantly and is just amazing. Then there is Billy - he gave me a great free walking tour around the old quarter (highly recommended) highly informative and interesting. The hostel is clean, comfortable and very social (without being a party hostel), great location in the heart of the old quarter. Highly recommend staying here if you visit Hanoi!!!
