The food portions were a little small

The location is sublime! Right in front of the river. I went and there was nobody there. I had the entire place for myself. It was perfect as I was looking for a relaxing place.

The view from both the common terrace and our bedroom was truly beautiful. The room was nicely decorated, cozy, had lots of natural light, and a very comfortable bed. The location was very good. Less than 1km from the best rated restaurants, and very close to Phong Nha boat station. The hosts were also very kind and flexible We had an amazing stay. .

Outstanding view from our room and our balcony and we enjoyed this view also at breakfast and dinner. Very pleasant just sitting and watching the boats go past. We appreciated the kettle in our room to make our own coffee, and the small table. Bed was comfortable, shower was strong and hot and bathroom had more space than some. Wifi also great and we used the handy free bikes for short distances, but hired bikes for longer rides as unfortunately guests do not always look after these or advise owners of any issues. Would encourage attention to some minor maintenance issues in the room which would improve use. We enjoyed our breakfasts here and the convenience of evening meals being available. Location was very convenient.

Everything! The staff was welcoming, San kept in touch before the travel and answered all my questions. The room was very clean and well equipped. The location of the hotel is right next to the river, their cafe opens to the river. Food was delicious too. 100% value for money.

The air conditioning was a bit noisy

The room wasn’t clean. There lizard poops in the room, and the bed sheets did not seem very clean. There were times, small insects were found crawling on the bed. While I understand this could be because of being closer to the river and the mountains, I have stayed in very basic Homestays in close to forests and rivers and cleanliness was never an issue. I also wish the breakfast spread had more options and some fruits. This is absolutely a personal preference: I don’t like AC all the time so I wish there was a fan.

The location was fantastic. We chose the room with the Mountain View and the river. Waking up to that view was breathtaking. On the day of our check-out, we just spent a few hours just sitting on the patio and watching the boats pass by. Hung is a good host. He picked us up from the railway station. He also provided us with multiple options for cave tours which were cheaper than what we were looking at and also helped book our tickets back to Hanoi. Everything was very seamless. Good for a night or two to stay

Our stay at Coco Riverside was one of our favourite places in Vietnam. The family was amazing and extremely helpful with planning our stay and activities. We really enjoyed Dark cave, Phong Nha boat ride and the 7km hike into Paradise cave. They also helped us book scooters. We highly recommend this home stay particularly in the rooms facing the river.

Characterful and peaceful family run guesthouse in easy walking distance of Phong Nha's main drag & bus drop off/ departure points. Lovely balcony/ dining area with beautiful river views. My room was modest size but clean and light with modern bathroom and same lovely river views as main guest area. Evening meals are very good here, and views can't be beaten. Friendly helpful staff, real family feel. Paradise Caves trip strongly recommended - even if you've seen other caves, this is amazing! Staff happy to arrange for you with pick up at guest house. If you visit Phong Nha - this is the place to stay!

Beautiful place to stay! The girl in the reception was very helpful and friendly! The view of the room was stunning! The only downside is that there is no glass enclosure in the shower! But I would definitely recommend it!

A family run place. Everyone was super helpful and the location was nice for access to the dragon boats that went to Phong Nha Cave and an easy walk to restaurants etc.

Hard bed, kids loud at night, no separation between shower and rest of bathroom which got messy but this seems to be consistent in my travels.
