I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious and a perfect start to the day. The bed was super comfy, making it easy to recharge after exploring. I loved that they had a home gym—such a great perk for staying active. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything I needed, and the uncle who took care of the hostel at night was so kind and welcoming, adding a special touch to the stay. The walking city tour was a highlight—super informative and a fun way to learn about the city while meeting new people. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting!

Amazing Stay – Incredible Staff & Great Activities! I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Saigon Authentic Hostel! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They are some of the friendliest and most helpful people I’ve encountered while traveling—always smiling, always ready to assist with anything, and genuinely passionate about making sure guests have the best experience. What really sets this hostel apart is the effort they put into organizing tours and activities. Whether it’s the amazing food tours, the local experiences, or the social events in the evening, they create the perfect balance of adventure and connection. It’s a great way to meet fellow travelers while also getting an authentic taste of Saigon life. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff’s hospitality makes it feel like a home away from home. Awesome stay! Lovely workers and clean, well set up dorms with privacy curtains and little night lights. Lockers given too for valuables. The highlight is the included breakfast! So tasty and a great way to meet fellow travellers.

I just stayed at Saigon Authentic Hostel, and honestly, I’m obsessed! They have a morning walking tour to explore the city—strolling through bustling Saigon, listening to fun stories, all while “walking off the rice,” as they say. The gym’s small but mighty, just enough for me to work out and feel less guilty about all the food I ate. The free breakfast was to die for—chicken pho, sunny-side-up eggs—I stuffed myself silly and made new friends while chatting away. At night, I hit the rooftop to play billiards, watching the Saigon sunset, which was stunning, though I’m terrible at pool, so my new buddies kept teasing me for laughs. District 4 is super chill, not as chaotic as District 1, but just a quick hop to Ben Thanh Market or Bui Vien Street. The area around the hostel is packed with local eateries—cheap, delicious, and I was stuffed to the brim! Honestly, this place is so fun and cozy, it felt like “home away from home.” I’ll be back soon, I swear!

I stayed at Saigon Authentic Hostel in District 4 and it felt like a home away from home. The daily walking tour was such a cool way to see Saigon—I loved soaking in the city’s vibe and finding little hidden spots. The gym was a nice touch; I could squeeze in a quick workout to balance all the street food I ate. Breakfast was so good—fresh Chicken Pho and eggs every morning, and I met some awesome people while eating. The rooftop with the billiard table was my favorite—I’d chill there, play pool, and watch the sunset over the city. District 4 quieter but still close to places like Ben Thanh Market, and there are tons of local food stalls nearby. I’d totally stay here again—it was the perfect mix of fun and cozy!

Loved my stay here! It has a cozy vibe, super friendly staff, and a great local spot with a park to chill. The breakfast was a treat-fresh juice, great coffee, and tasty local food. Just 5 minutes from Bui Vien, so it’s close to the action but still peaceful. The best part? Joining a walking food tour through the hidden alleys of District 4-once a mafia hotspot, now a street food paradise.

I had a great stay at this local hostel! It’s tucked into a cozy neighborhood with a chill green park nearby. The staffs were super friendly, the breakfast was delicious (loved the fresh juice!), and it’s only 5 minutes from Bui Vien in District 1. Coffee and local food were spot-on too. Highly recommend! Thanks Huy and the whole team. Forgot to mention, I joined their Walking city tour which was great way to explore this vibrant city. Good job, all!

Very relaxing hostel, can’t think of any negetive points

My stay at this hostel was absolutely delightful! It’s perfectly nestled in a local neighborhood, offering everything you could want: strong coffee, authentic local dishes, and a gorgeous park to unwind in. The staff went above and beyond with their warmth and helpfulness. Breakfast was a highlight—fresh juice and yummy options to kickstart the day. Plus, being just 5 minutes from the lively Bui Vien area in District 1 made it so convenient. I’d come back in a heartbeat!

A little far from the monuments to visit, you have to take a grab. It's not the establishment's fault, but unfortunately, someone entered the bathroom several times with their shoes on, completely dirtying the room. Perhaps just remind people to take their shoes off...

The establishment is run by locals who are very kind and do everything to make you feel comfortable. They offer very good advice. The hostel is small and on a human scale. The breakfast is good. And for once, a bathroom with a shower that has doors. There are many street food places around the hostel that offer very good food.

Everyone was so lovely and helpful. They even said that we could continue to ask about Vietnam even when we aren't staying with them.Nothing was too much for them. Also it reminded me on how hostels were in the past.

Amazing staff, breakfast was great made fresh in the kitchen where you sit. Very social with two great communal areas including a great rooftop! Made my stay in Ho Chi Minh all that more special. Beds are clean and comfy.

The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome! The city walking tour helped us to connect to other guests, featured really interesting and personal stories and we highly recommend taking it :) breakfast made by the owners aunt was amazing as well. Wifi was fast too!
