Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe paid for the Luxury sea view (at each end of building.) For a five star experience , our expectations were not met . The condition of the room was poor , a really grubby stained basin / sink . A poorly fitted tap ( loose with mastic that did not work .) Cracks visible in most of the stone ware features and flooring. Visible stains on the flooring and outside balcony areas. A broken lounger on the outside balcony.( should have been checked before allowing access to room? ) A badly stained seating area on the balcony. ( was covered up after pointing this out to reception with a bed sheet.) The stains and markings were attempted to be cleaned by the cleaning staff , but were obviously in-ground and not possible .( needs major renovation or replacement?) All in all very tired / un maintained/ very old and poor quality. - This was not 5 star rating on luxury accommodation…unfortunately!
The location was good for us as it was peaceful and quiet ( after our trip around Phu Quoc visiting different areas of the island.) The breakfast was adequate, although choice could have been better. The staff there were amazing , really helpful and very courteous. They really made our stay.

AustraliaThe garden bed villa was nice, however, a snake approached us while we were sitting in the garden chairs. With that said, the staff allowed us to change rooms, albeit pay the difference for the upgrade which we were happy to do.
Friendly and attentive staff, beautiful pool and beach, a wide range of breakfast foods

IrelandJust a note that nothing really is in walking distance. We rented a moped for the day for really cheap from the hotel so it didn't bother us at all but worth noting.
Fabulous hotel, couldn't ask for a nicer place to relax. Breakfast was super, huge choice, free shuttle to and from the airport and a pool/beach sunset view that would melt your heart - great place to stay.

Russia❌no coffee machine for breakfast ❌hotel is far from walking streets, so if you want to go to eat out or to some shops you need to call taxi or rent bike ❌no big mirror in a room (I could see only half of myself, how I supposed to choose a dress for evening?😅) ❌most of the stuff didn’t know even basic English ❌ beach doesn’t look paradisy, a lot of stones and dark color of sand
✅first line, you can see beautiful sunset ✅territory looks beautiful ✅good price for this level ✅we took breakfast included and we could go to restaurant in a hotel any time for other meals, prices are almost the same like in restaurants on the streets. ✅nice villa

MaltaShower room was not as clean as it should be. Grout between tiles was black instead of white in some spots. Rain shower head was dirty. Hotel grounds need attention, it looks like the grounds need renovation soon, with rusty structures and loose pavements. Minimal Vegetarian options on the menu let alone vegan ones
Rooms are very big with a very comfortable bed. Staff very polite and make you feel welcome with a lot of services offered at the reception. English is spoken and understood. Beach area is small but nice with staff always available for your needs.

BelarusUnfortunately, most of the staff does not speak English (only reception desk and restaurant workers do). Also, sometimes the room service was coming early at the morning (at 8am for example) and was starting to ring in the door willing to clean. Surprisingly, they haven't been stopping this until I came to the entrance and tried to explain them that I'm still sleeping. Was fun. There was a very nice bath in the room. However, a boiler provided an amount of hot water enough to fill only a half of the bath. So to have a hot bath, we needed to wait :D
This is a big resort hotel, with a large fenced territory and many things inside it. You can live in the main building at the beach (where the restaurant, the pool and the spa are located) or in one of the villas scattered throughout the area. We highly recommend a villa though :) The main word that staying there can be described is calmness. The hotel area is really quiet, green and clean. We even didn't notice usual jungle insects such as mosquitos (we saw how staff treated the plants with an insect sprayer - seems it worked). You can have all facilities a 5-star resort in Vietnam should provide: food in the room, buggies driving you across the territory, spa, a good restaurant, etc. The staff really tries their best. Our room was exceptionally good - it's large, clean, with huge bed and many windows. It's really soundproof - we didn't hear anything outside the room as well as conditioning/fridge noise etc. The Wi-Fi is good enough to watch a movie or work remotely. Combining all mentioned above, we would live there permanently :)

VietnamFood is a huge minus. The restaurant is very poor, not on the level of such beautiful resort at all. Menu is vastly overpriced and the food and drinks are not even tasty. Using supermarket dough for pizza in a four star resort, really? Hoping that the resort can hire a good chef and create better menu. The second swimming pool was closed down for some reason, it was a little upsetting, because it looked very nice. If you position yourself as an eco resort, you might want to rethink giving 0.5 plastic bottles of water. First of all 0.5 is not sufficient for a person in such hot climate, daily consumption is 2 liters. Second of all it’s very easy to invest in glass or ceramic jars 🫙 and refill them. Eco friendly.
Very beautiful peaceful resort with lots of trees, flowers. The swimming pool by the beach is amazing too. There are free kayaks on the beach. There is also kids room and spa center available. The rooms are amazing, the interior designer and architect did great job!

NorwayAlmost no sandy beach left (removed to be used in construction?), no snack bar/kiosk/place to buy anything except in the restaurant, expensive food/drinks (57k for 500ml water), very limited English spoken by staff, some areas of resort not open, nothing in walking distance.
Nice rooms/villas, quiet, good breakfast buffet, good capacity by pool/beach (low utilization at resort).

AustraliaThat the pool bar was not open, and there were limited options for dining or a more extensive menu. More proactive staff in the open area's tending to guests.
The resort was tired, unfortunately it is in need of some upgrades by way of general maintenance. Much like many other hotels I have recently stayed at, the absence of patrons and revenue for two years has hurt this place. This place would have been awesome in its hay day.
