Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We stayed in a private room and it was super comfy! Included a towel as well. We liked the quiet location and it was still walkable to everything in the city. Hired scooters from them and they were the best we drove in Vietnam! Family dinner was amazing and they catered to us being vegetarian. No water refills but they did have free tea and you could buy drinks in the fridge.

It was perfect
The family who owned it were really loving, i literally spent alot of time in the hostel so you can trust me on that, loved the concept of family dinner there! Also the rooms were clean everything was comfortable. Theres no AC as its very cool in dalat

The staff was very nice and kind, the hostel has all the services including the organisation of many different types of tours in and around the city. They also organise a family dinner with all the hosts that want to join, which is a great opportunity to get to know other people and maybe find some travel buddy! I would recommend this place and hope to come back some day!

The laundry option wasn’t great, everything was returned all crumpled and not folded. The bag in which I have my laundry was not returned and I was returned items that didn’t belong to me. This made me think I might not have had everything returned to me. The hostel is a great place however, they organise the laundry externally so it has nothing to do with them.
Very clean. The staff were so friendly. The family dinner option was great, it only cost 100k and there was so much food and plenty of happy water at the end.

Not a huge deal, but the lockers could have been a little bigger. It was quite a squeeze to fit all my luggage. That being said, it did all fit and there was plenty of space.
Wonderful family run hostel. The dorm was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The whole family was welcoming and incredibly lovely, and gave really useful advice regarding tours and places to visit. They also helped organise tours and transfers. I attended the family dinner, which was an absolutely delightful spread! Really really enjoyed my stay!

Guests! Take off your shoes downstairs! People wearing shoes in the shower make the floor wet and dirty. I think the hostel should add a squeegee to the bathroom to help this problem. But overall a very minor issue. I love this place
The place was very clean and comfortable beds, the entire family are great and go above and beyond to accommodate, Bon Bon is adorable. Great location easy to walk the wonderful city.

It's the best hostel in Vietnam for me, a cozy family atmosphere with a lovely staff , they're always ready to help you for anything! They offer a delicious family dinner almost everyday and the best Ginger tea ever!

The staff here were so kind and lovely, first we had the family dinner which was incredible - there were about 12 different dishes, each were delicious and such a good feeling and conversation there and played with their young son who is adorable. On one day I had a bad cough (from the plane) so stayed in bed and they were very kind and even made me some simple comfort food and gave me fruits the next morning. They also booked my husband an easy rider tour and they came within 15 mins to pick him up! I wish I hadn’t had the cough as we would have done lots of things through the hostel. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the location was great - an easy walk to main things in Dalat.

The bed was a little hard, but it didn’t bother us
The room was clean and the duvet was lovely. The bedside lamp made us feel more cosy. Lovely hot shower as well. We enjoyed the social aspect of this hostel. Despite booking a private room, we joined for a family dinner with the host and other guests and ended up having a great night! Thank you!

There is no AC in the room so it can get a bit stuffy at night (there is a fan, but if you’re a sensitive sleeper it is a bit loud).
This place is excellent value for money. We stayed in a double room and it was a little small but all we needed. Quiet at night, and walking distance to the lake. The staff were wonderful! We were there for the family dinner on Vietnamese Women’s Day and it was such a great time - would definitely recommend doing the family dinner at least once! It’s very easy to arrange tours and busses through the hostel, too.

The beds were pretty hard
The staff were so friendly and always happy to help. It was noticably cleaner than other places I've been to. It was really nice to join in on the family dinner, I would recommend.

The vibe of this hostel is simply pure and amazing. The family is really nice, they help you for anything you need. And they have the cutest baby ever!! I will definitely recommend everyone who decide to stay here to do the family dinner at least once, and the countryside and waterfall day tour where they bring you around with motorbikes to discover amazing places. That tour was really the best way to spend one of my days in Da Lat, beautiful landscapes, experiences, interesting stories, amazing food and a full immersion in the Vietnamese culture. I’ll never forget this experience and the people that made it really really special.
