Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

NetherlandsOne minor issue was a brief drop in water pressure, but it seemed to be resolved quickly and didn’t affect our overall experience.
Review of Tra Que Mansion – The Perfect Stay for Hoi An Tra Que Mansion was, without a doubt, the best accommodation we stayed at during our month-long trip through Vietnam. Its location is ideal—perfectly situated between the bustling streets of Hoi An and the relaxing An Bang Beach. For us, it was simply the perfect spot. The high-end mansion itself is stunning and newly built, featuring well-designed rooms with a lovely balcony, a spacious bathtub, and a great shower. Everything is meticulously maintained and finished to a high standard. The pool area is a real highlight, offering a refreshing escape, and the breakfast selection is excellent—everything we tried was delicious. Beyond the high-quality facilities, what truly set Tra Que Mansion apart was the outstanding service. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. Their hospitality made our stay even more special. If you’re looking for a peaceful yet well-located stay near Hoi An, with top-notch amenities and fantastic service, Tra Que Mansion is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

AustraliaThe accommodation is near a lagoon and lots of plants. So you’re going to get some wildlife. Staff were very helpful catching some harmless lizards in the room. Quite a fun experience to watch. With the amount of rain that happens, there was a mould issue in the curtains. They were taken down and cleaned quickly. So all part of the travelling experience. On saying this would definitely stay again.
Location was great. In between the old city and beach. Near vegetable village which is a tourist attraction. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast great. Bikes were a bit dodgy but still worked. Room was spacious.

United KingdomNot a dislike but be aware that the property is down quite a narrow road and some Grab drivers didn’t want drive all the way down so on occasion it was a few minutes to walk for a taxi. The chairs by the pool could probably do with an update- the loungers were wood and felt a bit flimsy but very comfy cushions!
We loved our stay here. The room was perfect- huge beds and mega comfy. Good air con/ good bathroom facilities/ nice pool. Away from the hustle and bustle of Hoi An. Staff were lovely and we would definitely be back!

United Arab EmiratesOur first room had a pungent smell, but the staff quickly arranged a different room for our second night, which was much better. However, there was still a slight moldy smell in the room. I’m not sure if this is due to the weather or if the property is just a bit aged.
Tra Que Mansions is in a great location—peaceful and surrounded by greenery, yet just a short bike ride from Hoi An’s Old Town. The rooms are spacious and clean, with nice views of the gardens and rice fields. Overall, a good option for those looking for a quiet stay outside the busy center. A small suggestion: It would be safer if the bicycles provided had lights, especially for riding back in the evening.

We absolutely loved Tra Que Mansion which is situated in the heart of the vegetable village and away from the hubbub of Hoi An Old Town. It’s super easy to get into the old town, we cycled in one day on the bikes which are provided free of charge and other times booked Grab cabs which are cheap and readily available. The room itself was huge and clean with a lovely view of the village, there are some signs of wear and tear but for £20 a night we had no complaints. The swimming pool is also great albeit we only used it once as the weather was less than perfect! What really makes this place, however, is the staff, they cannot do enough to help 😊. Also highly recommend MUA restaurant which is attached to the hotel, the 14 course tasting menu was divine and great value.

CanadaThe property is about 3-4km from town, we had to use bicycles to get to town or to the beach. Too far on foot. Breakfast was not included, we ate at restaurant attached to our stay and it was not worth the money, portions were too small. We found a place Saga homestay with huge portions of food.
Place is set in the middle of vegetable gardens, it’s very calming. Staff is wonderful, very helpful.

United KingdomThe wifi was a little bit slow but we got a local sim and worked around this. Our WiFi need was probably not typical since we were both on video calls for work. If you just want to watch Netflix then it’s absolutely fine.
A nice tranquil villa nestled within the organic vegetable gardens. It’s perfectly situated between the beach and Hoi a town itself. The rooms are spacious and the staff are so lovely. They genuinely couldn’t do more for you. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels added. Couldn’t fault the service or the room for the price paid. A bike lane takes you into town or to the beach. Bike hire is available free of charge but we ended up hiring a scooter and nipping to Da Nang for food on a couple of occasions. The beach is a 20 minute walk. The airport transfer via the hotel is worth it for ease. It’s cheaper than Grab.

Super relaxing, quiet and tranquil place to stay. Our room had a very nice bathroom and spacious area for making yourself feel at home, with a balcony also. The surroundings are lush and green and just so peaceful amongst locals. The staff are also super nice- Sarah and the porters could not do enough for us. Breakfast is also DELICIOUS!! Also there is a cheeky little poodle called Lei who hangs around during the day, who is cute but dirty 😅

SpainI would only recommend this location if you’re interested in being in an alternative area far from the city centre. It’s in between the beach and the old town (10’ by car and really affordable)
The staff was really kind, worried all time about our needs and asking if we could ever need something. When we had some troubles with the room they immediately worked on that and were really supportive. Also they helped us a lot when organising activities in the city and surroundings. Really good breakfast, the quality of the ingredients and preparation it’s outstanding even though the coffee quality and offer is not at the same level. It’s placed in a non crowded and really authentic area. Fantastic pool.

AustriaOur best stay in Vietnam; the hotel is a little bit outside of Hoi An but definitely worth the extra mile. Rooms are very generous and have great tropical garden/lake views. Pool is a good size also for swimming. Breakfast is in the hotel's award winning restaurant and really amazing. (fluffy pankcakes with seasonal fruit). Staff are very knowledgable and friendly. Will return!

United StatesAlthough my new bride was very excited about the the bathroom with a huge soaking tub and separate shower, she was a little intimidated that the bathroom had no door for her privacy. However, I think she acclimated quickly and enjoyed her experience as much as I did.
We were able to rent a motorbike at the hotel and that helped us get to wherever we needed to go. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. We really enjoyed the size and layout of our room with lots of sunshine and window we could open to let in the fresh air. This was probably my favorite place we stayed during my 20 days in Vietnam. The price was also very reasonable when compared to other properties that turned out to be much smally and not nearly as nice.
