Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

Hotel is situated away from the construction site in the bay in a quiet location and overlooks the lake. The room was very clean and comfortable and plenty of hot water for showers. Great value for money. Nam was extremely helpful.

There is a construction site in the central area, and a new beach is expected to be operational in the near future.
This hotel is located opposite the lake, the view is very beautiful and peaceful, the room is very nice and clean, the breakfast here is a la carte very delicious, the staff is very nice and helpful. We were introduced to the Lan Ha Bay excursion, the experience is very epic. Around the hotel are restaurants with very good prices, and convenience stores. About 8 minutes walk from the center. and Tung Thu Beach is very peaceful near the hotel

This hotel was absolutely amazing. Good location, near good restaurants (also western food). The most friendly staff, they helped us book a bus ticket and we could use the restroom in one of the rooms after checking out. Just perfect!

Nam at the front desk is so helpful in arranging transport and helping make plans. He arranged for our transport to and from Cat Ba and helped with booking a cruise and motorbike taxi for the national park. His help made everything so easy and convenient for us! Very clean rooms. Appreciated the breakfast. We liked that it was at the more quiet part of town.

Internet was not working in my floor but possibly due to previous storm and staff tried to fix it

The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. Tung Quang Hotel was a great place to be situated when visiting Cat Ba Island with plenty of nearby restaurants. We were made to feel very welcome by Nam who was so genuinely helpful. We even reached out to him 2 months after our stay here and he helped organise for us to get a great deal on doing the Ha Giang Loop. A shout out to Nam for all your help and hospitality.

Great value hotel, and the room was clean and spacious, Breakfast included in the price was good. We booked an Overnight cruise at this hotel and it was an excellent recommendation. The staff is super friendly, the breakfast is good, and overall everything is perfect!

The town is a building site, the hotel is near a beach but sadly it’s closed as that’s a building site. Pool not open
Room very nice, bed slightly hard but some people prefer it that way.

Wonderful services. Everything is within walking distance. Breakfast here is simple but really good, and the beds are comfortable. They provide tour services, Bus Transportation, private cars, etc., at an excellent price. We booked everything here, and it turned out perfect! We really enjoyed staying at this hotel!

Bed was pretty hard, but I think most Vietnamese beds are.
We spent 1 night here before our tour to Halong Bay. Nice spacious room with a bathroom that has a nice warm shower with a separation! Nice view on the ocean. Breakfast was simple but very good. And most of all the staff was really helpful and friendly.

As mentioned above, the hotel staff and services are outstanding!
The room is spacious and clean. Everything works well in the room. Staff here are always helpful and super friendly. We stayed here for 2 days and ended up staying for more because the view from the room is so relaxing. The bed was so comfortable, we highly recommend this place. this place offers booking tours, buses, motorbikes, with an excellent price that made our trip so convenient. Thank you for sorting out everything for us!

Everything about this Hotel is amazing. although there is a construction site by the center, it doesn't affect this hotel.
This hotel offers wonderful services and care to the guests. We received a very welcoming. They upgraded our room to a view of the Lake, and helped us book a day cruise and the Ha Giang Loop for us. Everything was excellent. We will come back next year and back to this hotel.

Thank you, the hotel reception helped us organize the Ha Giang Loop!, we enjoyed it and everything was perfect. We booked everything at this hotel at excellent prices and it turned out smoothly. The hotel is located 10 minutes from the center, where a big construction site is going on. In front of the hotel, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake, and it is very quiet and romantic at the same time. If you don't want to hear a lot of noise due to the big construction area by the center, then this would be your perfect place to stay
All the previous reviews were right! , this hotel is amazing, we got a free upgrade to a room with lake view and is so peaceful and beautiful!, the staff helped us book day cruise and turn out so fantastic, room was nice and clean, the bed is so comfortable and the hot water work great compare to other place on this island that we stayed before coming here. Highly recommend this place.

We booked an overnight cruise at this hotel, turn out super amazing! , they provide us with the most honest advice and offer us a super good price compared to other places. They also help us book for the next transportation and accommodation as well. I felt so amazing with they arranged everything for us.
