Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe staff kept approaching us to try stuff so that they could skim us off. The pool was filthy.
Good amenities but none of them available

United KingdomUnfortunately the property needs some TLC, the walls and ceilings were quite mouldy and damp. The pool did not look inviting and no one used it the whole time we were there. The property has a lot of potential if the maintenance was kept up. Probably not as luxury as the photos make out!
Host was really accommodating and attentive, helped us book a great cooking class & basket boat experience. Location was within walking distance of the main town, in a quiet area.

FinlandBut honestly this place needs an upgrade. Everything is old. Kinda unorganized on the ground floor. The room was very basic and their walls are moldy. It looks like it should cost 200k in Da Nang. But it is near Hoi An ancient town so I guess that’s the price. Free bikes from the hotel.
The owner was nice especially the lady.

United KingdomThe water pressure in the sink was very weak, also at one point the water was coming out brown... I would double check the amenities listed as there is a lot on there like hot tub etc that aren't in the room or accomodation! Very damp bed
The family are so welcoming and kind. We were invited to join the family for a big meal on arrival, and it was amazing!! The room was spacious, clean and comfy! Very helpful also and good location :)

NetherlandsWalls and showers were a bit moldy, but the worst part was that the pillows were full of mold (not the cover but the pillow insert, we could see the black mold through the cover) and this is very unhealthy to breathe in. when we asked for a new pillow the host gave us one which had less mold, but still had mold. On the listing and also within the villa were adverts for free bikes but when we wanted to take the bikes the host asked for money. lastly, most times there was no one available at the reception, not even during office hours.
the villa looked nice and the room was big, also had aircon and swimming pool. the host was kind!

ArgentinaThey make you take your shoes off but the floor was not clean. The owner of the property several times entered to my room because I had the door open to have some fresh Air to tell me to close the door because of the mosquitos and that made me really uncomfortable.

IndiaThe toilet and bathroom have no privacy. They are in direct view from the beds and do not have bolts. The doors are opaque but not entirely. There should at least be curtains segregating the beds and the glass walls of toilet and bathroom.
The lady whose home it is super friendly and helpful. They helped arrange tours for us and gave us better price than the market. The room size was good.

AustraliaI did not receive any towels or soap. The room was full of black mould, and so damp that the bed felt wet, and toilet paper was wet. The pool water was almost white in colour and not safe to swim in, and the pool chairs dirty. Feet were covered in dirt from walking around my room, the trash had not been changed, the host wanted to keep my passport “to check me in later” and kept asking me to stay more nights, There was an opened toothbrush kit in the bathroom, and aircon was broken. Do not stay here unless it’s a very cheap deal.
Great location, 5 minute walk to the old town, but also not on a Main Street so not too loud in terms of honking and loud music.

ThailandThe owner of this hotel kept recommending that I stay longer from the moment I checked in. He was actively promoting this to every guest. On the second day, I checked out at 12:20 p.m., and he charged me an extra 50,000 VND. However, the rule on the wall states that a late fee is only charged if you exceed an hour. He even said, “I hope you’re happy.” Do you think I would be happy?

United KingdomOverall there is not much I would change about the property other than the aircon. Also it was around a 15 min walk to the old quarter so consider this when booking.
The owner of the property is so nice and suggested some really nice things to do while we were in Hoi Ann. We were in room 302 which is the top floor and has access to a small balcony which was shared between the other rooms on that floor. The room has a comfy double bed with good pillows which allowed for a comfy sleep. When we went to Hoi Ann it was 37 degrees so very very hot so the aircon was not the best, but it did cool the room down by the evening which was good. There was large shower room which could so like a little fixing but overall you get what you paid for (£9 a night). The owner also arrange a taxi for us to the airport which was 300 DNG which is very reasonably priced to Da Nang airport. We did not go into the pool but it looked great.
