Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandThere was nothing to dislike.
This place is a must stay if you're in Samoa. The view is out of this world and the atmosphere other worldly. Watching the sunrise and the bats return to roost a never to forget experience. The dining area looks over this same view. Lolita is a lovely person making sure we had everything we needed and was super friendly and welcoming. All the staff were great. We managed the climb to the property on our laden scooters no problem at all. Very peaceful and cooler air for sleeping than Apia itself. We would definitely visit again and highly recommend.

New ZealandA bit of a drive to get to, with the driveway a little rough in places. Small annoyances with the room includes the mirror being too low, the shower head being too low, the outside light being on all night, no bedside table, and all the lights controlled by one switch (so no subdued lighting possible).
Amazing views perched high up on the hillside. Ate dinner there each night and the fish and Samoan vegetables were really nice. Staff really friendly and accommodating.

United KingdomThe pool is a bit small, would be a bit crowded with more than four people in it, but its nice and cooling.
Nice breakfast, variety of foods each day, lovely views, friendly staff, due to the altitude its a nice temperature and lower humidity, lovely big lawn next to the little pool to relax on, if you want a good workout each day you would just need to do a few repeats of there driveway, very steep, perfect for getting heart rate up.

New ZealandThe iron borrowed needs to be upgraded, very old and keeps going off.
Great to have local fruits and food for breakfast, and hear the birds early in the morning. Nice to meet the actual legendary Dave Parker too and his wife Malama and daughter. Being on the mountain is inspirational.

New ZealandMy husband would have liked a toaster available in the room 😂
My family and I stayed for three nights. It was a beautiful stay with breathtaking views, delicious breakfasts, and a fantastic dinner on on of the nights. The service was excellent, especially thanks to Lolita, who was very friendly and made us feel comfortable and welcome. The staff was brilliant, and while the accommodations may not be flash, it suites the environment, and the bed was comfortable. Highly recommended.

New ZealandLadder for the pool would help the young and the older guests. Buildings/decor are a little tired but the affordable price reflects this.If you were like us , out and about all day it is okay.
A million dollar view away from any hustle and bustle.Staff worth a million dollars, nothing was too much trouble. Nice traditional breakfast, not too big but enough. Nice to have a swimming pool to cool down in the afternoon. Met a lot of interesting people who had done a lot of travelling around the world.Loved the sunrises and sunsets and watching the bats return home early in the morning. Great view on Sunday’s when all the umus were cooking…smoke across Apia.
