Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaPanda, Teine and Tama the resident dogs were so adorable and welcoming to me and my kids..BUT for the litte girl next door, they were not as friendly, she had to run back to the room. Maybe as people are checking in, lock them away..or post signs..introducing them, their names etc..so guests are aware..that their bark sounds worse then their persnalities :-)
Service as soon as we arrived was so friendly and welcoming, thanks Lolita. Met the lovely Dave also. Aircon worked very well and amentities we amazing. The view was the best part!! Cup of coffee on the porch...breathtaking sunset and sunrise up the mountains..beautiful.

New ZealandThe bed mattress itself was abit uncomfortable but we still managed to rest during the night.
Dave and his daughter were great and lovely hosts. We were very well looked after and made us feel absolutely comfortable. Our room was clean and well maintained and dinner service was delicious with a stunning view of Apia Upolu lights. It is abit of a travel more inland near plantations and 20mins from Apia city but the view itself from where it's located is breathtaking. Great value for money and if you want to escape the city noise and enjoy a quiet sanctuary, I would definitely recommend. Hubby and I would def come back again. Faafetai lava Dave Parker Eco Lodge Hotel.

The location is superb. And so are the people running the resort. Thank you Dave Parker, for everything. If you go to Samoa and hesitate which hotel to book, go for this one, you will not be disappointed.

New ZealandAccess to motel is up a very very steep hill which we had to attempt 2 times before made it up. Kitchen was disappointing - great to have a microwave but toaster would have been good too. Also felt cutlery was mix match from secondhand shop - no usable storage cupboard. Fortunately we had booked 2 rooms so able to share cutlery etc. Would be nice to have sugar free coffee packets.
View is amazing and staff are very friendly. Clean

New ZealandThe staff are so rude. Wouldn’t let my baby stay with us but owners grand children were there. Dave’s daughter was so uptight and rude. The shower had small water flow and bugs EVERYWHERE. Would not recommend this accomodation. Only stayed 1 night then left next day even tho we paid for 7 nights.
Nothing.

New ZealandThe location was beautiful but far away from things. You need to have your own transportation to really make the most of it. Otherwise, you will end up paying a huge amount for taxis to get around. You can go with the complimentary transportation into town at 8.30 am and return at 3.30 pm - but that's it. The buses are far away too, as well as supermarkets...so you are going for the tranquility of the place.
The grounds were absolutely beautiful and had a gorgeous view of the city. A lovely place. A small but lovely pool and pool area to relax in. Lolita was always friendly and kind. Totally loved seeing all of the beautiful Samoan flowers and plants-a credit to all of the hard work that has been put in.

New ZealandThe staff could do with a bit of training honestly. The network up there was pretty bad too so maybe a bit of disclosure when we book might be useful. They're really strict on the whole "no visitors" policy.
The views were spectacular! It was quite a steep drive up which we did not expect. The owners were lovely, but one of the staff was quite rude especially to our friends who had come to pick us up. Adorable dogs.

New ZealandThere was a crack in the wall of our shower, you could hear lots of noise from the ceiling from the above floor. It didn't take too much away from the experience and time there but it is something that was noticed.
The breakfast and food was standard fare. Location was amazing. Having travelled to Samoa several times, this is a view of Apia - you will not normally see. The host and service was amazing and friendly.
