Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New Zealand1. Our villa did get broken into in the night. Staff initially dismissive of this. Burglaries have happened at this resort before (can find on google). Usually people from the village next to the resort apparently (we got the police involved). 2. Restaurant has same menu every day
Overall room was clean and comfortable. On-site restaurant/bar. Quiet

New ZealandDidnt like the fact that we were out of power and there was no back up generator as i came with my son who had a disability, didnt like the fact that we kept running out of water where we had to drive to our family homes just to use the toilet, we were there for almost 3 weeks and only had house cleaner change our sheets and mop our floor once, we had to keep going to reception for toilet paper as we never got house keepers come over to give us any. Had to ask for rubbish bags all the time cause there was no where to put our rubbish. When we spent alot of money for laundry yet we got it back damp and smelt like they didnt use washing powder just water. The breakfast was the same breakfast every single day which was really boring. The only best thing about that hotel is that it had air con, a pool and the fijian workers that worked there. All the samoans that work there need to stop being snobs and do their jobs properly. And the only other good thing was its right next to my village
The pool. And the beautiful loving Fijian lady that worked st the reception. She was the only one who always welcomed us home with a smile every time she was working. When she wasnt working it was like the hotel experience was boring. Also the fijian staff at the bar, two of them, absolutely spot on with everything.

AustraliaThe room we got felt like dungeon. It smelt like a wet dog was sleeping inside it before we walked in. We ended up putting a car air freshener under the aircon but it didn’t help. There were worms everywhere on the roof and the floors and they ended up falling on us as we were sleeping. The room wasn’t maintained as the floor was broken and mirror was on the ground broken behind chairs.
Property has stunning views from the beach side. Staff were nice and helped with bringing bags to the room.

AustraliaNot a criticism, but if you want to see the island you need a car no matter where you stay. We hired from Taumesina rentals in Apia, very friendly and economical rental. Definitely hire and drive around the island, it’s very beautiful and worth hiring. You can order a taxi at front desk to get to Apia.
We had a lovely stay here, beautiful location with tropical gardens bordering the ocean, exactly what you imagine in the south seas. Open plan garden with bungalows and restaurant/ bar area with great seating area jutting out over the sea. You can watch fish right below you and from the deck. Nice accommodation to suit all size groups or couples. Very friendly and efficient staff and meals were superb quality. We ate at restaurant every night, delicious meals especially the fresh fish meals every day. Nice cocktails too. Nice swimming pool and great swimming and snorkeling in warm water just off the shore, not very deep so great for children. They also had a local dance troupe and singers perform one night with fire dancing. Free shuttle to and from airport. Good location along the coast so it’s very peaceful, although Samoa is not very busy or noisy! There is a very small shop opposite the resort driveway. Beautiful island and people and great resort for a holiday.

AustraliaDroplets (if that) of water from shower when turned on, would have better chance to rinse outside if it were raining. Advised reception, but nothing was done. Told reception again on checkout, and she played dumb and asked if it still wasn't working with a smile. One chair in the room and it was broken with a nail hanging out. No complimentary milk to have with the 3 sachets of coffee they had available. Bath basin faucet was broken. One thin bedsheet on the bed and 2 pillows. No iron or hair dryer. More like a basic camping cabin. Definitely not worth the $200+ wst per night they were charging.
It had 4 walls, a tv and aircon

New ZealandVilla was disgusting no working TV or room safe as advertised, no high speed internet available as advertised at our end of complex, aircon very noisy. Closed curtains and the whole lot rail and all came crashing down, black mould in shower, Bed very worn and uncomfortable. Free breakfast was a joke, no tea, cup/glasses/milk in room. Have stayed in hundreds of places but this is the first completely negative review I have had to make to warn others. Will be seeking refund from booking.com as the place was not worth a fraction of what we paid. Such a shame in a great location. Not to mention the cockroaches, cats and dogs everywhere and crap including blood on walls and hole chewed through door. Obviously very little cleaning gets done.
Great location

New ZealandHad jewellery stolen from our room Furniture was old, filthy and not suitable for the room. We had 6 guests with a 2 seater outdoor couch plus 2 chairs. Given the cockroaches, we didn’t feel comfortable sitting on the floor so there was no real family time, everyone retreated to their rooms. The mattress was too big for the base and lopsided. Airconditioning unit had filthy filter that made the room smell every time it turned on. We had to ask daily for additional toilet paper even though we had 6 guests for 10 days. We couldn’t risk getting our room serviced after the theft. No pool towels, we had to use shower towels but they did replace these quickly.
Landscaping was nice and the pool nicer than the website pics. The location was good for day trips.

New Zealand- Worst beds I’ve slept on - pillowcases had huge holes and mattress didn’t match the base. - Water went off for a whole day - breakfast was so average - dinner took 2 hours, absolutely unacceptable - pool chlorine levels were so high our eyes stung - could feel the bed springs when laying in bed - tv didn’t work - wifi was on and off - when the water and power went off, not a single staff member did rounds to ask if guests were ok and give us an update
It had a pool and beach access

AustraliaWe enjoyed everything.
Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Food was delicious. Snorkelling and swimming was great. Very close walk to Piula Cave for a swim. Could walk to Falefa Falls for a swim. Comfortable beds. They put us in touch with a taxi driver who took us to the other side of the island for a very reasonable price. As we stayed more than five nights, we got free transfers to and from the airport.
