Where to start? Firstly the pictures did not match the room we had which was the Twin/Double room (Family Room) called the Lily Pad rooms. They were the worst rooms of all the accomodation. We weren't able to change or upgrade because we booked via booking.com or we were told it was full. Lily Pad room 3 was the one we stayed in - it was unclean, in a poor state. I tried to book other accomodation as soon as we got there but everywhere was full in Samoa! we booked 5 nights and finally able to find somewhere else for the 5th night. We had mice in our room, cockroaches, filthy and dirty behind the fridge cabinet. It was difficult to get new towels and we weren't told about how room service worked because we had no information pack. If you wanted your room service you handed in the key. They kept giving us two towels when there were 3 of us. We didn't have a bath mat. I handed two bags of washing in and got one back. I had my own personal towels in there and they never came back, it got to the point of just giving up telling them anything because it wasn't acknowledged. There was no apology for the mice or cockroaches or lack of towels. We were travelling with 4 kids between two rooms (3 of us in each room) so to ensure they were safe we left as soon as possible. Breakfast was the same everyday. Staff were trying but there is clearly no management strategy and the "older" rooms needs serious TLC. I was not aware there are no TVs in the Lilypad rooms so if you want to relax in your room there is nothing to do. This place must have been great at some point. The positive reviews will come from the newer rooms surrounding the pools not the ones we were in! You can hear people talking in the rooms next door, sleeping and toileting. Lasty dinner takes at least an hour to come out - communication is really poor.

The location of the accomodation is really nice. It has beautiful sea views and the swimming was nice there kids enjoyed jumping off the pier into the sea at high tide. Swimming pools were good. Even the distance from Apia didn't bother us at all there was a Frankies in one of the villages maybe 10minutes down the road drive that we would go to if we didn't want to go into the city. We actually got decent WIFI when we asked for another password to another link.

The vegetarian options on the menu are limited, though as noted the staff is quite helpful in dealing with dietary requirements.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful, and always with a smile. The location is ideal for a getaway—quiet and isolated in the sense that there are no other hotels etc in the area.

We had no light in the bathroom was told it would be fixed wasn’t fixed , hot water lasts couple minutes then stops working . place needs a overall upgrade , reception is lovely but doesn’t match the rooms

That there were ants and bugs in the rooms. Place was old and run down. Pool was dirty and staff kept getting our room confused with other peoples bills. Annoying and embarrassing when we cleared our bill after every meal.

Kitchen service, no remote to tv, communication with staff, food was expensive bad quality and serving potions. Food prices, some of the cupboards in our room were broken also the toilet seat.

Pool was green and there was a leak in our bathroom. Also food took ages and they kept saying that we owed money on our room but it was mixed up with another room.

The guest house was filthy. The one we stayed in for 2 nights was filthy. The bathroom needs major attention and the bedding. The floor was dirty and had a weird smell. They need to have a much better vent for the bathroom because it’s right next to the kitchen. No room service during our stay. And the food was below average. We spent a disappointing 200 tala for one nights dinner and it was so bad we didn’t eat it. They need a new chef! Breakfast was disappointing and hygiene overall needs attention.

There was a mouse in my room, the AC didn't really work properly so we had the fan on 247. For the type of $ I paid it wasn't worth it. Breakfast was good but it was the same menu 3 times in a row with no savories/protein, just sweets. Needs a major renovation.

Not well maintained. Hot water system was broken (mentioned on day one, no solution until we demanded on day 3), furniture was all broken, pool was full of broken tiles, dining area floor was a minefield of uneven boards to trip over, each room had several missing window panels. We booked massages directly with her but the lady never wrote it down (nor did the other staff member present) then she just didn't show up (no real apologies, only an offer to rebook another day by other staff). It's noisy when it shouldn't be (staff in very early morning and late night, also with guests arriving in the wee hours the conversation should mainly take place in the lobby). They provide a single bar of soap, no other toiletries.

Pool was nice. Room was big and had air conditioning plus a ceiling fan in one bedroom. Some staff were friendly and some were helpful as well as friendly. Location was definitely away from the busy areas. Felt more authentically Samoan than the bigger resorts.

We did not like that are booking from booking.com was different from their system. We were booked for 4 days through booking.com and it showed in their system that we were there for only three nights. Unfortunately we were relocated two times and lost a room due to the mishap. The first time they relocated us was because our bed broke due to termite damage.

The only thing we liked was the sunset and the sunrise view.

The lily pond room could have done with some hangers to hang towels and clothes up.

The staff were absolutely phenomenal! Really welcoming, kind and helpful. All went the extra mile and made you feel at home. The site itself was also gorgeous with a great sea front to snorkel in and right next door to Piula Cave Pool which was an added bonus.

The food is not good. The complimentary breakfasts disappointing. The food is not prepared well and overcooked and sometimes undercooked. we stayed in 3 rooms as upgraded. Things are not being fixed - everything is being left broken or unrepaired as well as plumbing. The premium rooms are nice but the curtain broke in one and the hot water had a leak in the other - no room service. Had to ask for towels constantly and no toiletries or coffee when all of these things are stated in the description. The photos tell different story to what you actually get. The breakfast shot is obviously for a function as you certainly don't get any of that.

The beach and snorkelling was good. Our shower wasn't working so they upgraded us to a Premium suite but then the curtain fell down so we were moved again.

- Everything is a bit too old, poorly maintained, and filthy. - The room was filthy. Hair in the drain, dirty floor, filthy bathroom walls, and old toothpaste in the sink. It was not cleaned prior to our check-in. - The breakfast is very basic, not fresh, and poor. It took forever for some eggs on toast to get served every day. - The restaurant food is not good. The seafood was not fresh, it does not taste good, and it was overpriced. We had to go out for lunch and dinner in Apia every day.

Needs a upgrade for the price you pay there... also slow service for food & drinks (alcohol wasn't strong just tasted more like a juice after I had asked how much alcohol was put in bar staff said 1 shot if I wanted extra will be $15 per shot dosen't really make sense, I have gotten a drink that has had to much alcohol not less.....

The staff were wonderful!! But didn't really match the resort it self sad to say... I expected more for what I paid...

Cleanliness of accommodation was very poor, customer service was poor. Was told booking the over the water villa using their own website didn't occur due to issues they have with the website. Staff was very unhelpful and thought it was humorous.

All facilities we're appalling. Linen didn't seem like it had been washed in a while. There were two towels available for us over the 3 days we stayed there. Drinking water was only available behind the bar which closes at 2000. Staff seemed inconvenienced to fill drinking water bottles up when asked. 3/ 10. Terrible value for money.
