Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandOne of our rooms had springs coming through the mattress.
The friendly staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. Aircon works great and breakfast was fresh local produce.

AustraliaThe room we were given was great, everything in the photos was what was provided, I wouldn't say I didn't like it at all. As a regular visitor to common Samoan homes, I knew the worst I could get, and that wasn't it.
Olivia's accommodation was a nice little bed and breakfast that was convenient for a quick check in and check out. Easy check in with one of the girls, perfect communication from the main reception lady. She was very straight forward about how you enter, exit, rules, tips and tricks for foods and taxis. It was very accommodating and from what the price they were asking for, it was worth it.

SamoaAir con pressure, no hot water & uncomfortable beds. Bedroom details says it’s a double bed but it’s actually two singles put together which did become uncomfortable during the nights sleep.
Loved the accommodating staff & meeting people from all over the world.

AustraliaNot what we didn't like but what we got. Its Samoa, there mosquitoes everywhere. * Mosquitoes in the room upon arrival (its expected with the location and trees/plants surrounding it), it was cleared by night before we went to bed.
We liked that they were able to accomodate our stay the night before arriving to the accommodation and approve our recommendation for the type of room we needed. We stayed for one night with breakfast included in our package with 2 adults and 2 children. The place was comfy enough for us to sleep and shower which is what needed, we couldn't stay for the breakfast as our taxi arrived the next day but when returning our key the owner/host had told us to quickly have something to eat breakfast before we go, the care she had to ensure we get the food we needed before our flight (we had to say no its okay three times to her, as our taxi came early to pick us up lol) A little tight knit place hidden behind the busy road is nice, so peaceful.

Puerto RicoPlace is around a 20-25 minute walk to the center of Apia, which makes it a good location. Rooms are clean, air conditioned, tea kettle and small fridge. Breakfast is simple with fruits (banana and papaya) bread with options of jam and butter, coffee/tea and they always give you some local breakfast dish which is nice. The staff is helpful and welcoming. For the price is well worth it.

New ZealandWhile the facilities were generally clean and tidy, they could do with a spring clean and freshen up in some respects.
This is not glamorous accommodation but had everything we needed - a room with private bathroom (shower, toilet, handbasin), separate beds (a double and a single so could have slept 3), fridge, electric kettle, aircon. The extremely reasonable tariff included breakfast - fruit, toast and each day, a different taste of Samoa one way or another. It is served in an open air but covered area at communal tables so was a great way to meet other guests and share their experiences. The staff were all very helpful, especially with tips on what to see and how to get around Apia. We were able to access the kitchen if we wanted to make ourselves lunch or an evening meal, with stores nearby. The location is just outside the main Apia CBD but within a walkable distance, local buses and very cheap taxis, plus next to a petrol station if you have a rental car. So while, it may look a bit down market, it worked very well for us and is extremely well priced.
