Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Australia- We thought things were over priced - food, snorkel/bike rentals wtc... - Bed was very bouncy, not very comfortable - Really do need a car to get around otherwise expensive taxi's are the only option - Not many vegetarian options for food (but this was very common in Samoa, not just here) - No sound proofing at all in villa's, can hear every conversation from people next door - Obviously still coming back from Covis, as there is quite a bit of maintanence required
- Right next to beach, amazing views and swimming - We were able to check in earlier after getting the bus from the wharf - Staff were very friendly - Breakfast was nice - Pool looked nice but didn't go in as was raining while we were there and didn't look too clean

AustraliaThe bathroom in villa 2. The shower head was hard to adjust and kept spraying in the direction of the door behind us which meant we had to move further away from the shower head and right up against the wall which was uncomfortable.
The food from the main bar and the staff. The niu(coconut) was the best I had in Samoa and I had plenty of niu around the island. Andrea and his team were very lovely and attentive to our needs for both dinner and breakfast.

New ZealandThe fale was poorly designed. We could hear every conversation from the room next door as the wall was very thin. There was only one bedside table and lamp which made reading at night nearly impossible for one of us. There were holes in the wall, the mosquito netting was broken, the tap in the kitchen sink was nearly falling out, we couldn't open the doors properly. The bathroom was a little grubby.
The hotel is in an excellent position with lovely little beach directly out from the fale. The staff were friendly.

New ZealandLiked everything, disliked the pinacolada drink that was made for us it was mixed with bacardi instead of malibu which was off putting for us. And our chicken and chips dinner we ordered gave us all upset tummies.

FranceThe hotel cannot decide whether it wants to offer rest and relaxation to hotel guests or offer an open-air bar with loud music from 8 am onwards for the party crowd. At times, we could not hear ourselves speak outside when having a drink or a meal outside and had to ask the hotel to turn down the volume. The food served looked as if it had been frozen and was not always edible. Breakfast was poor, apart from the fresh fruit and tea. The bed in our beach fale was comfortable but there was hardly any room to walk around it and the lighting in both sleeping area and bathroom was poor.
The pool was lovely and partly shaded, which allowed you to stay in longer on a hot day. There was no beach but you could reach the sea by walking down some steps. The water was clean and warm.

AustraliaLoved the facilities especially the swimming pool. Loved that there was a covered area and an open area so that whenever we wanted to swim in the shade we could always come under the shade.

New ZealandI found it creepy and in disrepair- not many guests. My poor daughter was trying to brush her teeth in the cramped bathroom space when she spotted a huge spider the size of her hand next to her head. That traumatised her and she left straight away and stayed in our relatives’ accommodation down the road. I stayed with my brother in his fale as I was nervous. At 11 pm we were woken by a vicious cat fight under the floor boards. Shortly after I could smell a strong urine odour coming from under the floorboards. The swimming pool had broken sharp tiles at the bottom of the pool and it was murky. What was disappointing is that we wasted the money on substandard accommodation and for the same money we could have stayed at another resort which was totally the opposite experience down the road where our other relatives were staying.
The location was lovely.

New ZealandThe facilities were just about derelict - the pool had crumbling enamel and algae floating in it. The pool table was covered in mold. There were cockroaches and several stray cats everywhere. As a hiker I don't normally mind "rustic", but we were paying a premium to be there and ended up spending most of our time at other resorts for meals because the energy was so strange. We were "upgraded" without proper communication on the first night, and when we needed to stay another night due to our fale falling through they charged us at the upgraded rate without communicating this properly until check out. Hugely disappointed to pay $500 for what we understood to be a $320 room.
The kitchen staff were very kind and accommodating. The ocean view was beautiful, and it was a good location.

AustraliaI was given a different room to what I booked and was charged at least AUD200 more. Staff service was poor. Our room was flooded on the first night. The couches had many stains and smelt bad. Shower was bad. Power cut at least once a day. Food overpriced for its quality.
Pancakes were the only decent thing for breakfast. The rest was awful, location is too far from the wharf.
