Loved the location and its spectaculair views. The beds are incredibly comy. Perfect to get a good rest after a day out in the mountains!

We were at Ardmore for only two nights - at least three or four would have been better - the benches under the trees invited us to sit down and relax or read - and we had to hurry off.

What a wonderful getaway with wide, open spaces and lots of farm animals around - ducks, geese, ponies, horses, sheep - really great! The big, safe fenced-in yard for our doggies was a true hundred percenter. We all appreciated that. The first time ever that we felt at peace to leave our doggies alone while we went to the restaurant for breakfast and supper. Tasty meals too.

I would say they definitely need to enforce there "noise" policy more effectively - we had a great time until a very loud group of customers arrived on the Saturday and were making noise literally the whole of Saturday. I could see a lot of the other guests were also upset by the very load music and screaming going on the whole day, while everyone else wanted to have a peaceful quiet day (fitting to the location). I feel it's up to the hotel management to deal with things like this and not let it carry on literally till well after 10 PM (from about 8 AM in the morning!). This spoiled our Saturday and kind of ruined an very nice rest of the weekend we had up until that point.

Good location with access to a lot of great things to do. Amazing views of the Berg. Very friendly and attentive staff. Dinners were good, especially the South African meal option.

We thoroughly enjoyed Ardmore over 20 years ago when we first discovered it and we thoroughly enjoyed it now too. Was fantastic coming back seeing what was the same and what had changed. Another reason we chose Ardmore was because we remembered the wonderful meals - we couldn’t do self catering so a very important thing for us was meals like we have at home - we didn’t want to feel like we were eating „restaurant“ food every night. And we were so happy - the homely, delicious food was perfect. The staff here make you feel so welcome. In fact, the whole way Ardmore is set up feels welcoming - the main house literally has open doors where you can come and go - a drink on the patio or in the lounge, meals, our nightly games of pool. Oh…and watching the dynamics of the farm animal pond was therapeutic. Not to forget waking up to a chorus of Egyptian Geese, ducks, hadidas and all the other birds. The hubbub of the farm was just what we needed to destress. So…in a nutshell…thank you Ardmore for a superb couple of days. We could wind down and enjoy.

Lovely little getaway to a beautiful part of the Berg. Our cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were incredibly friendly, Ross especially went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The half board was a great option as it meant we didn't have to worry about meals and the food was delicious. Definitely will be back.

The staff are so incredibly friendly & helpful. The farm & the area is beautiful, a perfect mix of relaxing with a variety of interesting things to do.

Water temperature from taps were challenging either too hot or cold Upstairs fireplace needed attention as smoke filled up in the room very quickly. So didn't use that one again for the remainder of our stay. There was another downstairs that worked fine.

The cottage was comfortable and neat. Staff were very friendly. Jason was incredible as a host and went beyond to assist with bookings of activities nearby. The view was incredible. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. They even set up a private area in a smaller dining room to accommodate my fur baby. The views were incredible. The rustic vibe and peaceful environment was so relaxing. All the farm animals were tame and can be fed with only a donation left for the little bags of feed. Thank you Ardmore for a great weekend.

The smoke from the adjacent unit, fire place was intrusive and could be smelt in our bedroom.

The views were magical. We booked cold weather, but it was not to be😀 The staff were amazing and special thanks to Jason for my birthday cake and Ross for the marshmallows that I could melt in the fire. It was a wonderful birthday weekend. Sweet memories.
