It can get windy as your so high but that’s the trade off for the views!

Shower in the Kudu room at the Marco Polo lodge, leaked terribly. Water all over the bathroom floor. When we arrived for check in, there was no one there. We waited about 15 min , before staff arrived to check us in.

what a beautiful ‘resort’. we had the cottage beside the main building with a marvelous view over the valley. A very nice pool near the main building. staff very friendly

Lack of attention to details: AC not working, no shampoo, and curtains were a bit dusty. Should hire more staffs.

The spectacular view, the helping staffs and the vintage interior settings. Bed was rather comfortable. Four adorable cats.

Some slight issues as there was a water leak and the shower was faulty.

Beautiful location set in the mountains. Only a short drive to Franschhoek with plenty of restaurant options. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was arranged for us at an extra cost but it was definitely worth it as it was delicious.

Quite a drive from Franschhoek-you really do need your own car. No insight dining in the evening. Local restaurants on the estate not part of the hotel and usually fully booked. The hotel should earn guests to book restaurants ahead of their stay.

Stunning views from the main property. Breakfast on the balcony. Zebra and springbok to watch. Helpful staff. Lovely wines to buy. Nice pool. Braai facilities

ubers were difficult to get to our lodge. hotel staff was very helpful and called us a taxi. we used this taxi service multiple times afterwards, which worked good. the road from the gate towards lodge is approximately 5 mins, which any car can easily manage (toyota aygo).

Perhaps the room itself was slightly outdated, we didn't use the living room, and the bathroom was very small.

Exceptional lodge with very cool communal area, pool and stunning views of the vineyards and wild animals nearby. The breakfast was yummy and staff super nice. Great to be staying somewhere with electricity during load shedding too!

I loved the view and beautiful drive up to our place. The staff was so friendly and our room was massive and all was clean.

I immersed myself in the natural beauty of the mountainous landscape. The drive up to the lodge was scenic , passing vineyards and peaking mountains. The room was spacious and had a luxurious bathroom with an immaculate bath tub! The staff also assisted us when we needed assistance with the television. The office manager , Natasha was pleasant. She gave us a tour and informed us about the origins of the resort.

Location is good for the views and quiet but a little bit far from the city. Altough the guy at the reception did his best to help us with the transportation.
