You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

South AfricaThe noise from the car washes made it unbearable for one to fall asleep. Been made to wait in a substandard room while there were other people busy in the room that I booked was not ok for me at all. I wonder if there are double bookings taken or my room was sold to others off record and I had to wait in another which didn't have amenities that I booked for.
The location was close to my meeting venue so convenient. The staff was very friendly

Botswana-Parking can be challenging when you drive SUV -The rooms were too close in way that i can hear people talking in another room… -Sharing it can be a challenge because you have to go on a queue if all the guest want to bath at the same time.
-The prices for accommodation were good -Staff were friendly and smiley -The room was perfectly clean

South AfricaI reserved via booking.com and immediately called the property after I've reserved and they told me I must come and pay so that they can be able to reserve it for me I then went there to pay but refused to give me the keys and told me the reason not giving me the keys is clients loose them and refuse to pay, so because I was attending an event closer the the Guest house & the receptionist asked at what time I will be back and I told her about around 9 but I couldn't be back by that time and came back around 2am ( their Guest house it's a 24hrfacility). I tried to call the reception several time with no answer & sometimes it would say line busy , I rang the bell as well but there was no answer, I was basically at the gate for 20 minutes with no help( where was a security to attend to clients at the gate). I had to go book somewhere else and then came back in the morning to request for a refund and they refused to give my money back and told me they do not refund, they told me they didn't hear me ring the bell but opened the gate for clients who came back at 4am
