it was beautiful. The cottage is very well appointed with everything one could wish for. Jennifer goes the extra mile even providing complimentary sherry which was much appreciated due to the cold weather. She even shared her beautiful cat Sarah with us. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful accommodation. Our unit was comfortable and cosy. All the little thoughtful touches by the owner was really nice. The unit had everything you would need. We only stayed for one night but would definitely book again for a longer stay.

Other than the fact that we had to get back to JHB and could not stay another night, absolutely nothing !

In today's day and age, it is very seldom that my expectations are met, let alone blown out the ballpark ! Where to start... It is always so much nicer when the owner is hands on and Jennifer is all that and more. The location is just perfect in that you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but in reality, only a few minutes away from nearby towns. The cottage was phenomenal - enormous and tastefully (recently) decorated with a dining area, full kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom. Now lets talk about breakfast ! My partner is vegetation and gluten free so usually has to take her own food or hope to get some fruit, yoghurt and maybe grilled tomatoes. Jennifer whipped up a vegetarian delight on home made gluten free bread whilst I had (perfectly) poached eggs on a bed of Moroccan lamb mince. Between us we agreed that this was the best breakfast we've been served not only at an overnight but restaurants included ! It is an enormous property but I challenge anyone to find even one blade of grass out of place - that's how meticulously Glen Ormond is run, with passion, heart and soul ! If we were close, we would visit once a month for the weekend. WE WILL BE BACK !!!

There appeared to be a problem with the Wi Fi , but Jennifer kindly allowed me to use her rooter and SIM card. As I was travelling for business this was very important.

The location was perfect.The establishment is set on the most beautiful , tranquil grounds. The decor is stunning - wished I was able to stay longer !

We arrived early at the accommodation and we were not allowed on the property and turned away as check in was only at 2pm. The owner did not even give us an option to come in to the property to wait until check in but instead said we should go and have lunch somewhere. The next morning when we were checking out the owner then tells us that I need to pay for my child although I booked a family suite which included my child. After back and forth and us advising that we need to reach out to bookings.com he eventually said it was fine and we didn’t need to pay for the child. Unfortunately due to the unfriendliness we experienced we would not go back to this establishment. I also noticed that bookings.com advises breakfast is available at the property however when I called the establishment, they advised it is not available.

Great location and very neat accommodation. Lovely features such as a fireplace, heater, electric blankets etc.

My room was changed without my consent or knowledge. I was expecting to get the room id seen in the pictures but got another instead. Wifi signal poor which disrupted my work flow. No dinner provided on site, as was stated in the bookings profile. As i was on a semi working trip these few things inconvenienced my stay somewhat - that, and the proverbial loadshedding in South Africa.

The setting was pretty and the cottage was spotlessly clean. Bed was super comfy, and the cottage was toasty and warm in the winter nights. I felt really safe on the property as a solo traveller.

Needed a bigger pot for cooking a packet of pasta. On our last morning we ran out of hot water in the shower, other than that our stay was perfect!

Jennifer was a great host, she shared lots of information on the area which was helpful for planning outings. The gardens were immaculate & the views were stunning. The flat was neat & clean. We enjoyed the daily visits from Sarah the cat.
