To be honest there was little to not like, perhaps just having the same ranger for the entire stay, but totally understand he had a prior family commitment.

Just great, our third visit and delighted to see the place going from strength to strength. Staff are superb, location perfect from Cape Town.

The weather for the first two game -drives, but we cannot blame Gondwana for that....

We booked Gondwana to celebrate a special birthday with our daughter and her family. It couldn't have been more special;the location, the villa, the "clubhouse", the staff, the food, the ambiance. Everything was more than excellent but the icing on the cake definitely was having Tracy as our game-guide. She was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions, had a fun personality, was able to spot where specific animals might be and a very good driver on the challenging terrain after the rains.. In all one of the most amazing experiences of our lives, grateful that we could spend this time with our family at such an exquisite resort.

Ulibisi house in the Gondwana game reserve was an incredible escape. Douglas and all the staff made it a memorable stay for us. Our guide Eugene was both knowledgeable and helpful throughout, the animal experiences were unforgettable.

I loved everything

Stylish comfortable villas which blended into their surroundings Lovely food with lots of choice Our ranger Tim was amazing. His passion knowledge and experience was exceptional. His enthusiasm was so contagious. He went out of his way to search out the most shy of animals for our enjoyment. The afternoon we spent with the elephants was incredible and emotional. It is an experience that we will never forget.

I’ve been to several (private) parks in SA but this was beyond. Very nicely set up, yet small & cozy. Excellent staff, a large menu with food (all included) to choose for lunch and dinner, swimming pool with view on the animals (if you’re lucky) and great game drives. We managed to see all the animals in just two drives thanks to our ranger Phil!

Lack of predators on the game reserve.

Beds were comfortable. Game drive trucks awesome. Everything well maintained. Food was plentiful. Spa was great. Good value for money.

The only thing that could be improved was that when being given information about the routine we could also have been informed about how to tip staff. There was an envelope system but we didn’t know that until check out.

We stayed with our family in a fynbos villa which was beautiful. The staff were excellent and the villa was serviced more than once a day. The food was great and the game drives were exhilarating. We saw all the animals we wanted to see except for the extremely elusive leopard. It was a great stay and the teenagers in our group spent a lot of their time happily being off their phones learning about animals, birds and plants. WiFi at the lodge allowed them to keep in touch with their lives when we from game drives.

For the premium experience you would expect some other facilities included like a gym. Everything outside of game drives and food came at at extra charge. Limited for activities for the middle of the day. Might of felt this more because it was cold therefore couldn’t use the swimming pool.

The food, game drives, staff and location were amazing. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Lovely!
