Toilets outside, bathroom showers you need to make fire for hot water. The place we've stayed was not cleaned well. The kettle was not working. The place didn't have all the kitchen accessories.

Friendly staff, Very nice place but need some TLC and maintenance done.

Although the room we booked into was not the one we stayed in the room was not clean and had to do it ourselves. The bedding wasn't clean (dusty and had some dead insects).

The quiet atmosphere and the fact that we enjoyed preparing food for ourselves.

The showers and bathrooms need work to be done on them, The bush houses structures need to be renewed. The swimming pool was the big disappointment, Does not look like anything on the pictures.

The location beautiful, refreshing and easy on the body and mind, Very peaceful. The Animals were nice to see and seeing my child around them was priceless. The staff were great hosts very friendly and attentive to guests, The nature and weather were good.

The toilet and bathroom were outside. We didn't have hot water for 2days in the showers. We didn't have peaceful sleep due to mosquitoes, frogs and red ants in our tent.

The lodge looked nice overall The braai and boma area was beautiful

There were alot of ants. You can't put anything down and it's full of ants.

Our cabin was right across the waterhole. It was amazing when we open the door and saw the Zebras drinking water

A lovely setting with great potential, but in need of care.

We were put in the cabin with a massive beehive, which we heard active in the bedroom wall through the night. On our departure, the staff admitted they were aware of the bees and are planning to relocate them. The beautiful landscape is extremely thorny, so you need thick soled shoes. Two sweet dogs kept us company throughout the stay - even sleeping on the outside chairs in the night. They had lovely temperaments, but they frightened the other animals away. We were especially disappointed when they chased the buck from the dam. Poorly maintained - torn bedding, loose and missing fittings, chipped crockery, droppings in bedroom on arrival etc. No extra blankets available for cold nights. We were asked to bring our own.

We were welcomed warmly by friendly and helpful staff. There is a gorgeous view from the raised cabin. The sky at night was stunning! There is a sizable braai low to the ground. Wood and ice are available for purchase. Good size fridge-freezer. Lots of hot water in the shower. There is a swimming pool with one side shallow enough for kids to enjoy playing in. Free WiFi. The slightly longer route to Grootgeluk suggested by the staff is much simpler and scenic than the shorter, bumpy route through the township that Google Maps suggests. So take the Hakdoring turnoff they advise.

The walls inside were dirty, bedding stained and uncomfortable beds, wholes in the floor from termites, dirty shower, and bathroom. Hardly any basic essential cutlery and crockery. Everything is falling apart. Beds were very uncomfortable. Everything smells moldy and dirty.

We enjoyed the quiet. Saw Giraffes, Zebras, Ostriches, Quinea fowl, Cattle and Sheep at the log cabin, and on the trails. The staff were warm and friendly. If you want a rustic bare minimum stay that is self-catering, with no expectations, then this would be okay.

Firstly we got charged R200 extra for checking in late. There was no electricity for the whole weekend. I feel like they could have atleast prepared us and provided us with fireworks or someone.

Proper place to unwind and the staff was welcoming
