It was a bit noisy with guests staying at the other part of the property, just regular kids noises. the walls weren’t very soundproof.

The beds were comfortable with bed heaters for the cool nights! The kitchen had everything we needed and the host, Erna, was just the sweetest! It was close to the beach. We felt safe and had a lovely time.

Beautiful setting overlooking the trees. Our host Erna was super helpful and waited till we arrived to give us a tour of our accommodation and the keys. We were greeted every day by a pair of Knysna Loeries. Very special indeed!

The rooms of the rustic apartment looked exactly like in the pictures and had everything we needed. From the new big balcony we had a nice view of the rain forest garden and even saw some vervet monkeys in the trees. Loadshedding didn't effect us much. And Erna was a very nice and caring host.

When we arrived, no one was there. Calling our host we were told that the arrival day was confused and we had to come back again 30 min later. Unfortunately no breakfast available and the only restaurant is about 1 km away.

Full appartment including big kitchen, living room with piano and the choice between two different rooms. Feeling like 18th century due to real antique furniture. We slept in a canopy bed, like king and queen.

The steps to the apartment were steep. The apartment was a bit dark.

Everything was available for a self catering stay. The walk to the beach was short. The owner was lovely and helpful giving us information on beaches, walks, restaurants in the area. She provided emergency lights for loadshedding periods.

A fireplace would have been great.

Although we only spent one night and didn’t use the kitchen, we were not short of anything. Hot water was quickly available. Beds were comfortable and warm. As soon as the loadshedding began, the lanterns switched on. TV had DStv and Netflix. The host was very welcoming.

Our host was really kind, friendly and sweet. However, I felt that especially the bathroom and kitchen could’ve been more clean, since one pays for accommodation you expect some effort for the place to be noticeably clean. Also it had a very musty smell throughout our stay, which was rather unpleasant.

The location is in a very forested area and 1km from lagoon and beach. The furniture is mainly antiques and old world setting which didn't worry us Shower and toilet area had nice hot water but a bit small Nice deck out the front Bad water leak in the laundry area when it rained Bed linen was not fresh and crisp and pillows old and musty There was dust under the beds, headboard, shelves and window sills The unit smelt musty to us as if mats and furniture needed a good clean Kitchen had all the necessary appliances however stove and oven in bad condition
