Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

AustraliaEverything to be honest was great. I do believe that $1k AUD per night was very very expensive. That is the only downfall I have. There are plenty of lodges who offer a more reasonable rate with the same sort of arrangement.
Loved the main lodge with the pool and the elephants coming up on various days. The structure of the days was also really good. We were never just hanging around and we had some incredible food, plenty of it too.

SwitzerlandCompared to many other safari drives, we did, we did not particularly like these ones and found them too invasive. It felt more like a hunt. Honeyguide with Mantobeni and Khoka Moya has a lot of safari cars in the field which are all connected through radio. So if there is a lion, leopard or rhino sight somewhere, all rush there. Some of the drivers (fortunately not ours) do not respect the distance to the animal and drive too close and the animal goes away, only to be followed and stressed through the bush by several cars, in this case it was a leopard and a rhino. Sure, tourists want to see them but we all had seen them well. Also it felt sometimes like rushing from one sighting to another and on the way there, fortunately some of the fellow tourists managed to spot 1x another rhino and 2x lions.
Mantobeni is a beautiful lodge with amazing views on a picturesque waterhole under trees where regularly different animals come to drink. On top of that we had everyday whole elephant families coming to drink from the pool. Breathtaking experience. The tents were very beautiful too, tastefully arranged and with comfortable beds. There is electricity to charge devices, Wifi only in the mainbuilding. I loved to sit on the terrace, listening to the sound of the bush. Sometimes elephants passed by. For cooler nights, there is a heating matress in the bed. Staff is very friendly and the food they prepare is excellent.

United StatesUpon check out we had to pay gate fee per night per person. The group and I thought everything was included and so it was a surprise and took lots of explaining to the group. After such a great trip, many left mad but not the end of the world.
Our second year in a row. Food was great, animal sightings were amazing. Not only did we see the Big 5 but we were blessed with cheetahs, cheetah cubs, lion cubs, newborn elephant and the endangered wild dogs. The guides are so great at working together to hone in on animals difficult to find to ensure great sightings. We had Michael, he was so knowledgeable and super patient with my family as we traveled with an autistic teen and 2 women in their 70s. He even went ABOVE and beyond with my sister lost her cellphone. Imagine he took the extra time to retrace our drive and found it. My son has me looking to book next year already...I love love love Michael and Mavis. Honeyguide is a gem.

BelgiumYou should not be afraid of sleeping in the wilderness. Elephants can block the entrance to the main building and wild animals can be everywhere around your tent day/night.
The colonial style tents, the staff, the food,.. it was an incredible experience.

IrelandWe were there for 3 nights on our first safari trip and it was incredibly amazing!! We saw 4 of the big five, lions(we saw different lions every day), elephants, leopards, rhinos. The camping premises is where you have the outstanding experience, if you spend 1 hour by the pool you will see so many species, animals. Elephants go to the pool to refresh themselves many times during the day. The care the staff had with us were outstanding, it was winter when we went, after the evening safari when we went back to the tent they would make the bed for us and turn on the electric blanket. The smiles on their face, the lovely tasty food they prepared for us. From the lady that used to say sky water( i am sorry but I am very bad with names), to Jared the manager, Dan our driver(he’s amazing) you all made our experience 10/10. It was a pleasure to meet you all. I hope I will be back again.

This was the most incredible safari experience. We quickly learnt after doing some more safari in Kenya and Tanzania that we had been spoilt by honeyguide. It’s awesome they do 2 drives a day, giving you downtime near the pool so you don’t get bored of driving around. We saw so many animals up close and the staff and facilities are wonderful. It’s a must do!

FranceYou will see many animals, but keep in your mind that is games drives, sometimes the animals can be very shy, it is never a guarantee , that is why i recommend to stay minimum 2 or 3 days . 1 day is not enough.
This lodge is awesome, very impressive. It was my third time, and i still enjoy honeyguide. The location in Manyeleti makes this experience unique, you are in the bush, everyday you see elephants close to the swimming pool. It is very good value because you have 2 game drive included, one in the morning and one in the evening. Everything is well planned, the meals, the wake up.... For me it is more an experience to live than a simple accommodation. But first i thank you the staff for their kindness. Everyone is very friendly, they have the smile, very polite, professionnal. In 6 days i saw many animals, many elephants, lions, rhinocéros, leopards, cheetah...memories for your life. I thank you satis my guide for the 6 days in honeyguide.

All was perfect, the staff was great, they organised the birthday of my daughter with cake and songs, and was always very pleasant and nice. The safari was also extraordinairy, we saw the big 5 in 1 day (2 safaris), our guide Satice, was friendly and professional. And to finish, tents are very comfortable.

Amazing place. The tents are very comfortable and tastefully furnished and decorated. The common areas too. It was a pleasure to come back for a hot drink there after a safari. We stayed 2 days and the elephants came twice to drink at the waterhole. The staff were so kind. The guides were awesome. Gave us unforgettable memories of dozens of beautiful animals and lots of interesting facts and real/life stories. The food - meals and breakfasts - delicious. We loved everything. Everything was very clean, both the tents and the common areas.
