South AfricaFor me personally I would have liked to have a sheet with the option of a light fleecy blanket/s as opposed to a duvet. I find a duvet is often too warm/hot for me which leads to a restless night's sleep.
There was no breakfast as this was self-catering. The accommodation was excellent and the views absolutely stunning

United KingdomThere have been some reviews complaining about the heavy wood furnishings. OK, they are dated but they work well and are comfortable and functional and we accepted them as part of the character of the place. The balcony offered amazing views but it could be quite cool if the wind was blowing.
Kite View 2 was everything we hoped for. As a kitesurfer I found it was the perfect location: a large balcony to monitor the conditions, a short walk to the beach, kit washing facilities, plenty of space for drying, and a great shower. The house was very spacious, clean and well equipped and would easily sleep 6 people. The area is very quiet and private and there is good bird life in the nature reserve just close by. We met the managing team, Owen (who is a kitesurfer) and Helen, and they were very helpful and obliging. Thanks to them for making it a very enjoyable holiday.

New ZealandVerskuilde kostes. Booking.com sê nie dat daar onmiddelik n extra R500 afgetrek gaan word vir "cleaning services" nie. Dan is die plek nie skoon nie. Die buitebraai se vloer is vol vet en kos kolle. Die meubels is so bemors van voëlmis en stof dat ons dit nie kon gebruik nie. Daar is ook nie lappe of skoonmaak middels sodat ons dit self kon skoonmaak nie. Die vrieskas se laaie is vasgevries en vol muf en vuil. Daar is stukkies chips en peanuts op die matte . So waarvoor is die R500 skoonmaak fooi as ons in n vuil plek ingaan. Dan moet jy nog n extra R750 kontant betaal voor jy die sleutels kry. Dit is vir enige breekskaade en daar word ook op die plek vir jou gesê dat jy nie al jou geld gaan terugkry nie. Die koffie bekers het chip merke en daar is baie klein voutjies wat na die tyd gebruik word om kastig van jou breekskaade deposito af trek. So die R3080 advertensie is toe R4330 vir 2 nagte. Nou is dit nie meer waarde vir geld nie.
Baie mooi plek en baie goed geleë. Mooi uitsig.

I did not like that I was expected to do the dishes when one pays for cleaning R390. Bit of a cheek. Ruins the holiday mood to have all these rules

South AfricaOther than providing accommodation, nothing else is provided. We have stayed in many places over the years and it seems when its not owner managed, as opposed to external agents, there is a lack of care and interest for the guests. Nothing even basic is provided, such as a a packet of wood, tray of ice, salt, pepper, sugar, etc. You need to bring along everything you may need. Only 2 toilet paper rolls ( 1 for each toilet) for a booking for 3 nights for 6 adults) was provided. Only 2 dishwasher tablets was provided. The bath towels are small and thin and of little use in winter. The apartment is extremely cold and not sound proof so you hear every noise from the apartment above.
