There were no keys for any of the security gates or doors leading out from the rooms. When we checked in, it was unclear on where we needed to go to get the keys. The staff had to meet us at the unit.

The location was awesome. Daily visits from the local wildlife. The facilities had everything we needed from a braai to a pool to a viewing deck. The rooms were all air-conditioned and the beds were comfortable.

It’s a very spacious place and so comfortable. The ladies Innocentia and Fortunate were so lovely. Kruger River also organised a game drive for us from the lodge into Kruger which was great. (at cost) The place is very clean and well looked after. We had a lovely year end for my small company.

Lions, leopards and wild dogs failed to make an appearance, not the venues fault.

Magnificent setting and the place has a bush vibe, not pretentious, just great for the type of holiday we planned. Amazingly equipped, well serviced. my new best go to venue.

The size of the rooms, the size of the living areas, kitchen and the outdoor space is incredible. I dont think the pictures on booking actually reveal how big and beautiful the place is. Its right by the crocodile river and the animals in Marloth were always around so its a great experience. Sizwe and Fortunate who helped us each day around the house were so friendly and kind to all of us, i cant speak highly enough of them.

Big stairs to the upper deck. We were all 'oldies' and battled with the height (or gap) between the stairs. This is merely an observation and in no way detracted from our experience.

Entertainment area was superb. The viewing was also exceptional.

What not to like !!

It is a self catering business,so not applicable.We loved the situation in the bush with animals calling in for treats! The environment is beautifully.All mod cons in the house with very comfy beds.The lady looking after us ,Precious,was great,nothing was too much trouble.

3 nights went by very fast! We could have stayed longer and didn't have time to explore Marloth Park. We forgot to ask directions at the entrance gate so the first time finding the house using Google Maps was a bit tricky.

We had a great 3 night stay here! Very spacious and lots of room for 2 families, clean and very well equipped. We loved the outdoor spaces, including the BBQ and firepit which was lovely to sit around at night and listen to all the animals sounds from the river :). The on-site staff were quick to answer questions or help (one morning the toaster shorted out electricity, but it was solved immediately). Our kids loved seeing warthogs, monkeys and impala at the doorstep each day!

The location was incredible. Looking out from the deck onto the Crocodile River was an unforgettable experience. We saw Hippos, Eagles, Water Buck. The style of living was great. Outdoor living until a cool thatched roof. Fortunate was our housekeeper for our stay and kept our rooms and the house clean. She even washed up our dirty dishes. A gem.

This property was absolutely amazing! Location just on the river…We spent most of our time on the awesome viewing deck and we had the privilege of viewing the hippos daily and even saw a giraffe strolling on our last day. Love that the animals in the park come right up to the house….The rooms are huge and super comfy(aircon was absolute cherry on top). Having electricity during loadshedding was also a major plus. Fortunate was an absolute star!

Beatiful view onto the river to Kruger Park and very quiet just what you need to relax. The entertainment area is great plus with the pool. Enough space for all of us. Clean and neat. We loved it.

It appears as if the building was architected around an older house; remodeled in a sort of rustic style wherein several items could have been completed in a more professional way. But all very clean and well kept.

Excellent location on the river bank and very private. The entertainment area is very well designed and has a nice flow to it. Architecture and decoration here very pleasant. They have 3 options for a braai: gas, built-in and wood/charcoal.

The shower in the last bedroom was very difficult to manage.

The location next to the CrocodileRiver was very scenic. The birds and animals were engaging. So pleasant to walk along the river. Beds very comfortable. Outside cooking facilities amazing.

We had some unfortunate issues with our arrangements for the game drives organised by the lodge owner. From our experience I would recommend booking it at one of the many alternative companies in the park or at Kruger itself.

The location of this house within the park is wonderful. From the viewing deck we were able to see a lot of animals (inside the garden and on the river banks). Housekeeping was great and the kitchen equipment was excellent. There is an option for 3 types of Braai (gas, coal and wood), which is very convenient. The house is very spacious outside as well as inside. Loved the outdoor shower as well! We highly recommend staying at this place and will definitely consider putting it on our schedule if we were to come back to SA.
