Welcoming home from home atmosphere and the accommodating and friendly attitude

There was nothing I didn't like really, but from my previous stay, I enjoyed the self-service and I expected it since I planned for a much longer stay next, the room I had did not have the self-service but I was made to believe it is part of the covid aftermath, hoping they manage to bring it back to all the rooms like it was before.

The house plan is nice, with a little outdoor space just outside the rooms which allows one to take some fresh air while still inside the house. One can just open all the glass sliding doors and have the outside fresh air come in and still remain secure in the house!

A few minor hiccups didn’t give it the full score for us: the main lightning in the room flickered so we left it turned off and one night we didn’t have proper water so couldn’t take a shower.

Wonderfully located in Melville, within walking distance to shops and restaurants, this brightly renovated place with in-house parking has it all!

Small hotel in a residential area of Johannesburg. Very quiet, nice design, extremely friendly staff (a mention for Tyson who booked us in and drove us to the restaurant in the evening, but also the lady at reception was naturally kind and helpful). Very good value for money. Breakfast (savoury) is at a café opposite the hotel with savoury dishes.

Contemporary modern style. They upgraded me to the Courtyard room which had a semi outdoor bathroom. the host was beyond fantastic and welcoming. Definitely will go back to stay again.

V and Tyson made the stay at Motel Mi Pi Chi what it was and they always go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as comfortable as it can be. We will be back again I’m sure ❤️

Gem of a place close to the Melville area. Very safe with enclosed car park. Supermarket within 5 minutes walk and many good restaurants close by. Very helpful staff from reception to security (there all night). Spotless and well decorated.

Room was ok 2 single beds pushed together with one mattress being higher and firmer than the other, other than that, room was comfortable. Breakfast not included

I didn't like how my access card issue was handled. But other than that, the place was great.

The room was aesthetically pleasing. Clean and comfortable. The housekeeper was pleasant. I think her name is Thuli.

On one of the nights, there was loud music coming from outside or a neighbouring building. Thankfully security went to quiet them down after a while.

Virginia and the team were excellent and accommodating. The room was very comfortable. Property is well-located, within walking distance of cafés for breakfast, and had no trouble getting Ubers to other parts of the city

Nothing - all good

Clean and safe with secure parking; wonderful assistance in helping arrange trips and local advice. Little touches like free snacks provided appreciated. Very good shower. Great location for the cafes (would recommend Tilt coffee shop), bars and restaurants of Melville, also local shops (SuperSpar etc) very close and all walking distance, or easy drive with parking.

The wifi was not available for most days due to cable theft, it was only available on the last day.

The bathroom design was exceptional. They provided a room with a desk and a chair which I needed as this was a trip for academic purposes.
