We stayed in one of the pods, and the view was amazing. It was a great experience to wake up in the middle of nowhere and see Rhinos a few meters away from the pod, as well as the incredile stars and clear sky at night. We also loved the staff who were super welcoming and especially our guide Abraham was super!

South AfricaIf you’re willing to brave the occassional extremes of weather, the benefits of the POD are definitely worthwhile. Otherwise staying in the Manor would be a perfect alternative.
Mount Cambedoo is an absolute gem. We were blown away by the scenery and landscape, and wildlife sightings and guides (Jason) exceeded our expectations. The POD gave us the privacy we wanted for our honeymoon and its setting treated us to unparalleled views.

The lodge is located in a beautiful valley with views all around. It has been beautifully restored and the rooms are tastefully decorated. We were upgraded to Peppertree Lodge which is secluded from the main Manor house, it has a hot tub to soak in. All the staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect.

The property was absolutely gorgeous and the staff so attentive and friendly. The meals and wine which was inclusive were really superb. Jason our guide was so knowledgeable and went the extra mile. Highly recommend.

South AfricaThe water for shower tend to not get to the normal temperature one would expect ( could be due to the power/gas supply due to remoteness of the location) The skylight was difficult to open ( was not explained when we had a tour of the POD ) The spirits drinks that was available af the Manor House as part of full board was not stocked af the POD and only beers and wines ( not a huge issue as we took our own with aswel )
The location was remote as one can get and the privacy 100% guaranteed. The POD ( no 2 ) was extremely well located for spectacular view of the Karoo Planes as well as the majestic Sneeuberge. The grass planes at the the top if the valley where the POD was located ensured for some amazing game viewing in the morning and afternoons. The game ranger and field guide Ryan Ormerod was immensely well knowledgeable and when he talked we would listed as there was ALWAYS something unique or interesting coming your way. The staff and the Manor House and main Restaurant was equally friendly professional and the food was excellent.

We did not have to to anything. Top-class food meals three times a day with loads to drink at no extra cost. Two 3-hour game drives will keep you busy and entertained. Secluded.

South AfricaOur stay at Mount Camdeboo was incredible, definitely our favourite safari experience to date. The entire property is stunning, we stayed in one of the pods and had a great time wrapped within the beautiful mountains, and enjoying the very generous sunrises and sunsets. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a retreat and to spend time out in nature. We also got to spot a good number of animals during our game drive, with our amazing guide Tish. The food was one of my favourite things about our trip.
