We’ve stayed here before YEARS ago,I don’t know if management has changed but it was a bit unpleasant this time around. Firstly,when I checked it said check in is from 14:00-21:00 we got there at 19:50 and the lady that welcomed us said she should charge us a late check in fee,I don’t know if she thought we didn’t read the rules or not and I know when someone is joking,she wasn’t. Secondly,it was pricey and there was no breakfast included in the price which was a bit of a disappointment cause last time we were there we had a lovely breakfast Thirdly,the lady that was hosting us sort of spoke to us in an accusatory manner all the time,her tone was so off but she was bubbly to the white guests,at one point I heard her tell one of the guests that we left the gate and door open throughout the night and we were a bit annoyed cause why didn’t she just discuss it with us,why discuss with other guests. We didn’t appreciate how she addressed us like we’re inferior to other guests. They could improve on the cleanliness of their towels.

I loved this place,it was clean and the facilities were in great condition. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the whole aesthetic of the place is gorgeous which is why we came back for the second time …

It was out first honeymoon night I was overcharged and the premises needs some real maintenence the room was not up.to standard for what I paid for which was R1800 and another R600 for 1 plate of snacks and 4 small cokes I feel it was a rip off will not visit their again

The darkness of the rooms. The scary incomplete rooms with cement and unfinished walls. Some unwlecome guests (pests) . Broken window in the bedroom.

Parking area and food delivery guidance was not working.

Parking is a challenge especially if other guest does not park according to the parking markings. Management should address this so that all guests can be accommodated. Secondly the list of places from where we could order deliver for dinner, was not available. I could not get one place listed to answer their phones. Numbers might be incorrect. Please update the list.

We were unfortunately experiencing a heat wave and our room which was upstairs was unbearably hot. The roof of this establishment is tin so the heat just beats through it. The aircon in our room worked but was pathetic, made very little difference. I did not realise when booking that Muckleneuk was on the outskirts of the CBD, so that made me a bit uncomfortable, although the security on the property is top notch.

We needed to have accommodation near the Voortrekker Monument and this was suitable. It is a beautiful B&B, clean, nicely decorated and a nice pool. The lady who runs it on behalf of the owner is fabulous, so helpful and friendly. She is an asset to this business.

Would appreciate it more if one serves himself breakfast, especially cereals and tea as well as fruits besides the prebooked order that needs to be cooked. Just have a variety where one can choose what he/she prefers most

Good location to Voortrekker Monument where my meeting was.

The location is not great, in a run-down suburb, very noisy on a Friday night with music blaring from a nearby property until the early hours. Dripping taps, bedroom door lock needs replacing, remotes for TV and gate need new batteries/repair. Very cold room with a cement floor.

Very pleasant staff (and dog), and I had a spacious room.
