It would be great if the airstreams had shower facilities instead of a tub as the shower connection to the tub doesn’t work well and very low pressure.

The place was tranquil and allows you to reconnect with nature. I love the idea of the social box at the restaurant which really allows you to focus and be present. There is so much to do in and around the property. The staff are amazing and friendly. Really a peaceful and fun experience.

Sadly, there was a lack of milk alternatives and gluten free options for those who are lactose or gluten intolerant. Other than that, I have no complaints about Old Mac Daddy.

I have often driven past the turnoff and wondered what it was like to stay here. Now I know (thanks to my wife :) ), we will definitely make this a return destination. We stayed one of the Tiny houses, and it was absolutely brilliant. Well designed, well appointed and comfortable. The addition of the wood-burning hot tub is an absolute bonus. The restaurant, while not the cheapest is still really good value for money as the food was top notch, and would, in my opinion, be easily placed in 4 or 5 star restaurants. The included breakfast would easily cater for most people. The staff are friendly and helpful, and at no point did I feel that they weren't willing to go the "extra mile" to make your staff enjoyable

The mozzies on night 1. The unusally humid weather brought them out in droves and we suffered. We went in better prepared on night 2.

We loved how engaged all the staff and management were, in particular Denver. All the activities for the kids and the fact that they did extras like free ice lollies, popcorn, roasting marshmallows, pizza making etc. These did not go unnoticed. We were at Daddy's Hideaway and they warn you on the website that you need a 4x4 or SUV to get there and they are not joking - thanks for the heads up:-). There is one turn in particular to keep an eye out for.

I didn’t like that there wasn’t enough utensils in the kitchen.

We got the experience we were looking for and the staff came to clean the premises everyday.

Well... the road up to the hide away could have been maintained a LITTLE bit more... at least the entrance if nothing else, with clear direction on where to turn in. The staff were friendly and met our expectations, however the restaurant staff were slow and if it were not for the quality of the food, it would have been quite a disappointment as we spent 2 hours plus in the restaurant after only ordering drinks, 2 starters, a pizza and desserts. We ended up taking the pizza and the desserts as take aways, because it was getting too late and we still needed to hike back up. We ended up hiking in the dark with all our take aways. The last thing I would say is the standards seem to change every time you order something. We ordered pizza for take away two nights in a row and the second time we got garlic, chilli and cheese, but not on the first. We ordered the creme brulee twice and the second time we got some fruit as garnish, but the quality of the dessert was not the same. Even breakfast was different the next morning compared to the first. Given that their percolator glass flask broke the day before, but they still had the machine out with the tea and a jug of cold milk (heaven knows why). We thought that they were still setting up, but not even hot water was brought out before we were nearly done with our meal.

The daddy's hideaway was simply amazing, great views and away from the business of the lower areas, it has mostly everything you need, so no worries about forgetting bedding or anything like that. Next time we will just pack a little lighter and make the hike up and down easier so that we can spare the car the trip up there. Next is the food, which was amazing, compliments to the chef. We ordered starters of chicken livers and the mussel chowder and we don't know which was yummier. Also their pizza's are good, on both nights we took one up with us as a take away.
