The place was not that clean. I booked two rooms and ended up using just one because I was not comfortable with the dirty room.

I liked that there was onsite affordable restaurant.

Staff didn't act on a request I made with my booking(the request was made 2 days in advance). I requested champagne and rose petals etc in our room as it was our wedding anniversary. They told me over the phone that they act on requests when the guests arrive but that didn't happen. When we arrived they acknowledged they had heard of the request but didn't seem to have a valid reason why they didn't do it. It was an "eish sorry we didn't do it, it's probably too late now". That was rather disappointing considering it wasn't a favor since it's a request you pay for. Also our check in time took long ~20 minutes, I thought they were delaying us to add the requested roses and champagne. They also tended to a couple and they were escorted to their room first despite us getting there first. Maybe it's because they were white or maybe because their room was ready. But when we got to our room and didn't see the requested things we felt like it was that typical yet disappointing treatment of black persons over white. At supper the food warmers were off so the food wasn't very warm. Then got served burnt custard with dessert. The malva was nice, just not the custard. The room didn't have a kettle or stuff to make tea. The only thing that made us enjoy our stay was that we had chosen that we would be happy that we're together and wouldn't allow anything to ruin our stay. Otherwise it was quite disappointing and we wouldn't go back unfortunately.

The food was nice (selection of 2 curries ). Breakfast was also good. Being in the mountains meant fresh air, so great location.

The hotel is at a great location with amazing views. The rooms a spacious, comfy, clean and well maintained. The staff are also very friendly.

The place needs serious renovations inside the rooms... Setup of toilets plus shower needs improvement to meet the standards of a HOTEL. TILES are more easier to clean than a mat that was smelling bad coursing SINUSES. Currently the place feels like Overnight B&B Hiking trail did not have markings as you walk, atleast ribbons on trees to guide the trail. People practicing rituals at the waterfall and leave the place untidy and messed up!

Reception was outstanding and all their efforts to keep in touch all the time till arrival & check-in. Swimming pool and the area very clean to chill and have fun responsibly. Washing of all visitor's vehicles was the highlight of my weekend at Magoebaskloof Hotel. Area was friendly and clean (no littering)

We had a room 37, at the bottom of hotel. The room was in a poor state, towels had marks on, woodwork needs attention, shower needs attention. Wallplugs were rusted, carpets need replacing. Teabags disintegrated when used, only 2 bags in coffee station. When we asked for service we always had to wait. Staff is very friendly, but need proper training.

The breakfast was good, but Sat morning we attended breakfast at 8.30. The jogurt, bacon, jam ran out and they said they had no extra. After 20 min bacon suddenly appeared. Sunday morning the toaster qas not working any more.

The TV is not working. The air conditioning is not working. There is no kettle in the room. The towels are dirty. The shower door collapsed while I was opening. The toilet is not flushing well. No toiletries in the bathroom. One extra blanket but two beds. The shower is also leaking

The manager was welcoming and listened to our complaints. Their breakfast is superb.

The rooms should be upgrated. The interior decoration not very warm and welcomed. The fridge was not working, the shower has an open door, the warm tap of the basin is not working well, the TV only has a few channels....not friendly for all culturals.

We asked for a room with a view when we arrived. The view and the walk to the waterfall were excellent!

The menu for vegetarians is limited. If you are not serving buffet consider including more meals for vegetarians in your menu
