I actually dont want to do this review, because I might never get place in this establishment, because, if you read this review you might just change your accomodation, to stay here next time. Most of the times I book trips I read reviews to make sure my choice is right. Sometimes it good but mostly I found that there are rwviews that are done to be nice to the establiahment. This review is not one of those. From the moment we stopped in front of Patcham place and Liliput, we fealt so at home, even better. Tim and Johan must be the greatest hosts in this industry. This place is not just the ordinary, clean , comfortable, B&B we are used to, it is so so much more. It is the cleanest, most comfartable place ever. It is new and smella good, the bedding is the best handpicked, 400+ thread 100% cotton on a very large most comfortable queen to King size bed. The soaps, the whitest , crispiest, white linen to towels and not just 1, a few towels, changed daily. The room is like a haven, with the most beautiful and modern headboard,, real rusks , coffee and comp water every day. I have traveled extensively and was looking for something out of place, but the one after the other surprise poped up continiously. Then go to breakfast after a good nights sleep, oh my word, you will then agree with us that this place is something else, everything is so fresh and proudly presented. You'll want for nothing here. In anycase, I have been to 5 star hotels and what you get a Patcham place and Lilput, can stand proud and mostly compare and or beat this, but the personal attention you cannot compare to anything out there. The place is clean, smells nice, propper 2 ply toilet paper, enough propper designer soap and shampoo, make up removers, face cloths, complimentary, slippers, go try it, if you can get a booking, the experience is something out of this world

The new owners Tim and Johan have done an amazing job of upgrading the rooms.....what a difference!!! They are absolutely amazing hosts and the rest of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, as you literally park your car and you can walk to all the restaurants and shops. My wife and I have stayed at a number of places in Clarens over the years, but will most definitely be back.

We were pleasantly surprised and equally impressed by the attention to detail that Johan and Tim have put into making our stay at the guesthouse more pleasant and comfortable than we could imagine. The room was very clean and provided all of the amenities that were listed, along with some thoughtful additions like the bottles of water provided daily after the room service. There was not a single item or improvement that we could think of adding to the rooms to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable as it was. The service and hospitality was excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the personal touch of the delicious breakfasts prepared by Tim, as well as the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the guesthouse. The location was great, with a stunning view of the mountains and surrounding nature reserve. Johan and Tim went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay possible, and we would highly recommend Patcham Place & Lilliput House to anyone wanting a weekend getaway in Clarens.

A lovely place near the square whilst still providing the privacy and quietness to ensure immediate relaxtion. The friendliness of our hosts (Tim and Johan) who went out there way to ensure we were well looked after. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing and a great way to start the day!

The warm welcome from Timothy matches the beautiful comfortable room that has everything you would need. A lot of thought and care has gone into the details: the umbrellas in the cupboard, the corkscrew by the wineglasses and the fresh roses on our breakfast table. A wonderful stay

Everything! It was just gorgeous. From the moment that you arrive you are treated brilliantly. Johan is a great host and extremely knowledgeable on the area etc. The breakfast made by Tim is just delicious. The suite is beautifully appointed with attention to the little things, like make up removal wipes and a selection of teas and coffees. Loved the stay and will absolutely be back. Just a beautiful setting!

Everything from the moment we arrived was just 10/10. The hospitality was top-notch, going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and perfectly located for exploring the area. Tim was incredibly responsive to our needs, providing thoughtful recommendations and making our experience truly unforgettable. We can't wait to go back to Lilliput House.

The place has 6 rooms. They are close to each other so if you really want alone tyen maybe not for you.

This place is neat and weel run. The place is well located. Johan and Tim are excellent hosts. They were very helpful. Tim is the cook and Johan is the Public relations officer. They make a great team and were warm and very engaging. Johan also guided us about place to see and places to eat AND made a booking for us at clementines. Breakfast is a glorious affair with both hosts present in a very grand and well appointed room. Well done PATCHAM others will have to follow your lead.
