Struggling to think of anything to be honest. The Continental breakfast spread was so enticing that we didn't have space for the cooked breakfast offerings, which is hardly a negative.

That convenient walking distance to the main town square and hiking trails, without sacrificing country quiet. Beautiful comfy facilities with a few very welcome in-room surprises (those homebaked rusks!). Johan and Tim are excellent, helpful hosts and their breakfasts are sensational, visually and taste-wise, in beautiful surroundings.

Everything. Comfort, cleanliness, attention to detail was outstanding. Bedrooms furnished with quality and style. Balcony with table and chairs. Mountain views. Satellite tv and wifi in rooms. Breakfast was unbeatable as were the hosts Johan and Tim. Great location with a few minutes' walk to the town square surrounded with restaurants, bars, shops etc. Safe parking.

Apart form the lovely Nespresso machine in the room, there was no kettle, so I couldn't make tea.

Johan and Tim are exceptional hosts and will make you feel like royalty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was incredible value for money. The breakfasts were extravagant with a variety of fresh fruits, cold meats and cheeses, a side of fruity nut yoghurt, along with a choice of Tim's mouthwatering cheesy omelette special which will keep you satisfied until dinner time! Apart form the fancy and fabulous breakfasts, the accommodation is warm, clean, cosy and homely. I would highly recommended Patcham Place as it will make your stay in Clarens extra special!

The views are extraordinary, and the location is walking distance from town Square, so there is little to no driving required once you've arrived. The service from Johan&Tim is nothing short of exquisite! We felt right at home. Breakfast is catered for every day, with a gorgeous spread of fruits, yogurt & sweet treats, followed by a hot breakfast that is made up of whatever you desire on the day (omlettes, a full English breakfast, scrambled eggs- you name it) The room is cleaned every day, the bed & pillows were comfortable, and the AC worked like a bomb, especially in the cold weather. Every expectation was met on this little getaway of ours, & we would definitely come back. (You actually feel so sad leaving this beautiful quaint town:()

The food was amazing . I commented about food on pictures during my booking that they look appetising. Guess what?? You went way beyond my expectations. We really enjoyed the breakfast. We even skipped lunch because we were still full and satisfied.

We had an incredible stay at Patchem Place Clarens, thanks to Johan and Tim who were exceptional hosts. They made our time in Clarens truly unforgettable. The room was superbly equipped with everything we could possibly need, and Tim's breakfasts were a delightful highlight - his omelettes are not to be missed! The location is perfect for hiking, with well-marked trails right from the house leading into the mountains, offering options for both leisurely walks and more challenging hikes. Johan's recommendations for local restaurants and attractions were spot on, enhancing our experience of the town. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to Clarens and reconnecting with Johan and Tim. Their hospitality and attention to detail made our trip exceptional.

I don’t think this was the property’s fault as I’m told that Clarens has a water problem but the water pressure was extremely low no matter which day of time we showered. Johan did warn us about this so I do think I’m just being picky here.

The proximity to town balanced by the quietness of not being directly in town made the position of this B&B perfect. Beautiful mountain views from our room as well as all the luxuries of a hotel. We had a massive cloud of a bed (seriously struggled to get out of it, it was that comfy) with pristine, crisp clean white linen. Spacious room with a large tv. Big beautiful bathroom. The breakfasts were exceptional and the hosts Johan and Tim were warm and welcoming.

Johan and Tim are fabulous hosts. The B&B is a 2 minute walk from the centre with all the restaurants etc. - however you hardly need those after the delicious and too big breakfast 😂

One of the best guesthouses we have ever stayed. The facilities were great, very nice bedding with crisp sheets and duvet. Balcony and room with beautiful view of the mountain. Room has got lots of extra touches that made our stay special The breakfast was exquisite and delicious with yoghurt, different fresh fruits hams cheeses etc. We did not even get to the warm breakfast! Can definitely recommend the guest house to anyone! Hosts were very friendly and accommodating.We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return. Very good location as well and walking distance to all restaurants.
