When I arrived, the receptionist mentioned that the aircons were not working due to renovation. For me, that's a big red flag because Durban's heat is quite severe. THANKFULLY, for some reason, the aircon in my room was working. So bear in mind for those booking here, your room aircon may not be working and will only be told this upon arrival. When entering the room, i noticed the bathroom also had a cigarette smell in it, considering im a non smoker. The room did not have hangers, I had to leave my shirts on the room chair. Upon arrival I tried to call the kitchen to place an order for somethin. Unfortunately, the room phones were not working because of renovations. I had to use my airtime to call the hotel landline and then transfered to the restaurant. When placing the order to the restaurant I was also told that they charge R15 to bring my meal to my room! 😵 This is the first place that I stayed where they will charge you to bring the meal to you. Apart from this, there are no other issues whatsoever.

The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport, so I did not have to travel too far. The hotel looks like it is currently under renovation, so the rooms are all new. The rooms are spacious, and the price was affordable as well.

The Pavillion is located on the beach front, alrhough the area eem to be unsafe, we felt very save inside the hotel. Our hot water in the shower did not work properly but that could not stop us from having a blast.

The food was delicious, thanks to the cooks. Staff was friendly and very helpfull Rooms was tidy, big enough for the 3 of us. Will defnitly stay there again when in the area

The checking in process was unpleasant. We got there at 14:50, gave the receptionist the ID as well as the name and surname the booking was made under. She couldn't find the booking. I gave her the confirmation number and pin as per booking.com. She still couldn't find the booking. After more than 10 minutes of no updates, going to the backroom and making a call - we were eventually checked in. That was the low of our stay. I am happy that she thanked us for our patience and offered an apology

I loved the room, it was beautiful. The restaurant had a great breakfast option and it was delicious too. For the amount we paid the room was a 10 out of 10.Housekeeping was very kind as well.

The fact that they don't have enough towels to replace in the rooms. You need to wait for laundry services. The breakfast beverages are to limited. They should also try having their own laundry services.

That when there's loadshedding there's no back up plan in the rooms.... And that I had to wait for 1hour to check in the since the rooms were still being cleaned though I was like 1hour late from their check in time which is 3pm

The condition of the room I got that day and the dinner that was served to us🔥was very tasty and the room was very neat and clean........ And the staff is also very welcoming I must give credit

The housekeeping lady who was responsible for my room (121) for my entire stay treated me like a child! She never changed my linen for all 4 nights that I spent at the hotel and didn't clean my toilet and shower and all this after asking me to wait at reception for her to finish cleaning my room. I spent a total of 7 hours outside my room waiting for her to finish only to find the above-mentioned dirty.

The food at their restaurant was delicious and the staff at reception and the security staff were friendly. There was an issue with my booking which was sorted out promptly.
