The setting is stunning. The bed was very comfy, we enjoyed a lovely walk and a fire in the fireplace in the evening. Colin was an attentive host.

    Nothing comes to mind.

The communication with the owner / manager Colin was very good and he went out of his way to assist as with requests we had. The house we stayed in is well equipped and the location was perfect. I would have liked to stay for longer and explore the area a bit, but we planned to only stay one night this time.

It’s quaint off the beaten track and you feel like you on a farm with beautiful views. The dirt road to access property is in good condition for a normal sedan. The owner is very hospitable and we appreciated the little extra touches like coffee, tea, milk, body wash etc.

A most delightful, peaceful and comfortable stay. Surrounded by a private garden, edged with bright bougainvillea, tranquil farmlands and grand mountains. The sunrises and sunsets are a colourful heartfelt display, imbued with the gentle sing song of natural farm life. The house is spacious and has the best selection of books. My family and I enjoyed an evening around the fire, playing board games and watching the stars. There are incredible walks around the surrounds. Immense gratitude

The water didn't regulate evenly in the shower. The road to there was longer than was expecting after taking the off turn and not the best gravel road. Would have been nice to be informed before hand.

Beautiful view, peaceful location, large shower, place for kids to run around, friendly help.

The cottage is 8km from De Rust and easy to find. The self catering facilities are good, the water is hot and the braai area excellent. Wood is provided for 2 braai's. The view from the cottage is across the fields to the mountains. It is very quiet and the perfect place to stay for up to 4 people. The price is reasonable.
