Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaI think this place was just missing a good entertainment room with pool tables, games etc
Food and staff service was one of the best I've ever had at a game reserve, the room was absolutely clean and room service was amazing. Close to Paul Kruger gate so easy access to the park. Definitely will be back!

South AfricaVery few and very inconvenient places to smoke. I would have sat with my friends at the bars more often if there was a convenient place to have a smoke.
Atmosphere, food and friendly staff.

ItalyThe rooms are too basic and lack personality -they were ok in 90s, not today. It is overall a good hotel in a great location: just raise the prices and renew the rooms. The pictures on the website were misleading too.
Staff was great, food plentiful and good, service excellent

Everything. Right from the pick up at the airport, the welcome drinks, the staff, the guest relation officer, the room, the safari guides and the food. They have one of the most diverse breakfast and dinner buffet options. Loved the desserts and the drinks as well. Overall an excellent place to stay.

United KingdomI would have liked more quiet areas to be able to relax at night along the river. The evening entertainment was quite loud and my personal preference is peace and quiet in the bush. It would have been nice if the infinity pool stayed open until later at night. I think it closed around 7pm while the pool area only closed around 10pm.
The staff were warm and welcoming and provided excellent service throughout the stay. I traveled with my 75 year old mother and she got the full "Magogo" treatment. Good location right next to the Paul Kruger gate with easyy access into the hub of the Kruger. I likerd the facilities and layout of th hotel. The inclusive dinners and breakfasts were very good with a wide selection of items. Drinks were very reasonably priced at South African levels and were not inflated for international tourists.

We we're a family of five with three grown up kids and stayed in the chalet ...maybe a little modest for the family for size two beds are in the attic over the kitchen ...a pool beside the chalets was brilliant...the entertainment and dinner every night amazing ...safari drive was brilliant very cold at 5.30 but heated up after about two hours ...everything seemed to be no problem to make you more comfortable thank you

United StatesIt was a gorgeous place to stay with amenities galore. We upgraded to a premium room which was so worth the money. Our room was spacious with plenty of room to roam. The spa was fantastic with separate cabanas for most of the treatments facing the Kruger national park so you got to view some while life while being pampered. The food was spectacular and definitely pampered by the waiters. Very attentive to details.!

BelgiumThe property is stunning and with a lot of activities. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The view from the pool is wonderful. We could swim while watching elephants and giraffes. The location is perfect, very close to Paul Kruger Gate and we had a wonderful 3 days safari experience! The food was excellent and the staff are very friendly, always with a welcoming smile. For my birthday we had a private dinner at the viewing deck and we could see the hippos. The dinner was delicious, the chef Zandre and his colleague Tshepo presented it beautifully. It was a memorable evening. On our next trip to the Kruger, we will definitely stay here again.
