Generally our stay was good. The manager is friendly and the owner very reasonable. There was a concern regarding security because the previous day they had a burglary at their office at the property. As you approach the first thing that you see is the gate which was not there and property fencing is not a wall, especially because the property is in the middle of residential area and rhe neighbours are a few meters from the property. According to the owner had no need for security as they say the crime rate is low in the area. However, as a visitor one would be more comfortable with a brick wall fence and 24 hour security on the ground. Highlight: the owner acted promptly at our concern and arranged a security guard who was stationed and did regular patrols for the duration of our stay. This was very impressive. The property is clean and the staff is friendly. Every query is attended to promptly. I enjoyed the privacy though we were not the only guests. The lady guest who was much longer and visits the place every yearspoke very highly of her experience. Myself and my family share her sentiments from our experience.. I would recommend the property and definitely would stay there again.

GermanyThe lodge itself is in poor conditon and does not fulfill the standards for this type of accommodation. Many things were simply broken (toilet flush, lights, flooring etc.), and some of them were simply dangerous (broken and loose tiles by the pool). The bathroom looked like it was not throughly cleaned for 10 years. Water in the pool was murky and it seems like the pool has not been maintained for weeks if not months. It took ages for the cleaning stuff to clean up the lodge (6-7h for 5 rooms and the kitchen). Getting to the lodge and from the lodge is throuh sandy road. You need to be careful not to get stuck on it, if you don't have 4x4).
The owner of the lodge is also an owner of the dive center. He is absolutely honest regarding dive conditions. He really tried to find a good diving spot after a day of strong wind, and when it turned out the visibility was 2-3 m he gave us a choice to dive or not to dive without additional costs (remember we were already on the speed boat searching for the right spot for like 20 min). At the same time other DC let the guys into the water, charging them for a dive in soup.

New ZealandWhile the rooms appeared clean, we had to deal with several cockroaches over the 2 days we stayed there. The worst was in the bathroom. We must have seen 4 or 5 at once. The pool looked nothing like the photos and the water was green. Regarding the diving, they are by far one of the worst dive shops, in terms of organization and timing, I have had the misfortune of diving with in my 12 years of experience as a dive professional and recreational diver. These guys are operating far far below international standards. I booked my diving with these guys over 4 months before my stay stating the days I will dive and the gear I require. When I arrived, non of my gear had been sorted and I was not even scheduled to dive on one of the days I had booked. While they did manage haphazardly slot me in, I still had to miss the first morning dive. The next issue was the timing if the dives. The 10:30am dive only left at 12:30pm. And for the 12:30pm dive, we where only just leaving for the 10:30am dive. This totally messed my my entire schedule for my stay at Sodwana Bay as I had booked a safari for 3pm. Another major issue was they they did not offer any transport from the hotel to the beach. You needed your own transport which is ridiculous since they beach a quite a drive away. Luckily I had a rental. I found some of the staff quite dismissive when I begun questioning what is going on. My only assumption is that these guys are not accustomed to seeing a brown Dive Master talking with an Australasian accent questioning them. I certainly got the vibe that these white folk where in a bit of disbelief I did not want to take me seriously. However growing up in New Zealand, I don't tolerate BS like this and having my time wasted to such an extent. After my 1st dive with SeaXpore, I cancelled the rest of my dives and found a much more professional dive shop to dive with. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!
