South AfricaThe pictures on the internet were of a different room. Not that we needed anything more, but one do feel a bit taken aback. Especially since the other room also had a guest, who got the priviledge of the only secure parking. We had to park in the street, while the booking specifically mentioned behind-a-gate parking. We had some trouble announcing ourselves when we arrived. No bell at the gate, no answer when we called the number on our booking.. not a good start.
The room has a beautiful bathroom, with new, fresh and clean towels. The bed was comfortable and snug. Free wifi. Kettle, coffee, bottled water, etc.

United KingdomThe curtain rail broke , uncleared marking on air con. Pressed it but was an alarm, it went off but no one came, good job it wasn't an emergency!! Only saw Fanny, the host, when we checked in we had to wait over an hour for her to arrive. Other than that we never saw her again although she said she would be there from 9am to 3pm.

South AfricaWe were checked into the wrong room and when we reported this to the property we could not be moved as another couple was checked into the room we booked. Once we checked in, the person checking us in asked us to give them a lift home, which was odd. Please note that the room set up is like a hotel and you only have a TV, bar fridge, kettle, two cups and two teaspoons in the room. All other amenities are shared and you will need to leave your room (outside) to make use of a shared kitchen and lounge. We had booked the trip for our anniversary and because of the less-than-ideal experience, we had to cut our celebrations short, which left a bad taste in our mouths. This property is more suitable for guests who do not mind having to engage and share spaces with other guests or backpackers since the rooms themselves have very little amenities. There were also a few lights that didn't work and the bath had a leak.
The property is clean. Met some really nice people who were also staying there.

South Africabright light outside bedroom window that can’t be switched off alarm pad in bedroom that goes off as soon as Power goes in after loadshedding and I was given no code to turn it off 1 teabag only in my room, rooibos, which I don’t drink. lots of coffee and sugar, which I don’t drink either. the tea was not topped up or replaced on the 2nd day the bathroom needs towel rails to hang wet towels the shower could do with somewhere to put soap and shampoo

South AfricaI expected at least a table to work at.The alarm kept beeping the whole night . I was on a course at the Yacht Club so I needed to work. The noise from the informal settlement was the whole Friday night . Not the host fault but the room door was facing that and I slept with the door open because the airconditioner was set right over the bed. In order to charge cellphone I had to pull a heavy bed away . They could have made that easier. The gate took me 10 minutes to open

South AfricaThere was no one there at the advertised time and the phone number provided was incorrect. Almost nothing was explained. The alarm went off at 4am after a power outage and I didn't have a code to turn it off. There wasn't even a glass in the room, and there wasn't even a chair. The photos do not match the room. I was supposed to leave the door unlocked when I was away as there was no second key. (In South Africa with valuables in the room :)))) Directly in front of the window (at the house) a lamp burned all night, which one could not put out, so that it was bright in the room. There was no breakfast.
