We couldn't have breakfast because we had to leave too early. They could have just offered a muffin, yoghurt and a fruit hamper or give us a refund on the breakfast part.

Ant infestation, even on food in fridge. Towels look tired, look out of place based on quality of rooms. Spanish omelette recipe needs work, sometimes had too much cheese. Staff speaking too loudly.

We were moved to another similar room because the one booked's TV did not work. The room's curtains were all open and it was VERY hot inside - maybe considering closing curtains on hot days and if known bookings, turn on aircon so long . Bathroom basin plug did not work and the drain was clogged.

The breakfast was awesome as always - well prepared and delicious. Location is perfect, 2km from my office and the facilities are very nice

The accommodation was top notch! Loved the huge rooms and lovely bathrooms. We had a really good stay. The house is ideally located, and it is in a very secure estate, which makes it perfect for anyone to stay at.

Nobody at reception when we checked in - had to fetch staff at the back of the property. Not proper soap in room. Hot water in shower turns ice cold and after a while hot again. Shower head partially blocked and worn. Bathing towels old and too small. TV not tuned in.

Excellent breakfast. Room was big and clean. Bed was really comfortable, and we slept well. Enough hanging space in cupboard, with nearly enough coat hangers. Cold bottled water in fridge was appreciated.

Although at first glance it seems very clean and neat, when looking closer there is a lot of dust in places that should be cleaned e.g. bottoms of chairs in dining room, difficult to reach places etc, but rooms are clean

Lights in balcony were not working & we struggled with seating outside. Chairs could also be more comfortable. The water must run for very long before it gets hot.

The was no electricity at arrival but communicated,that's disappointing but fine. Fridge was off and we had to figure it out ourselves that there is actually a Fridge in the room. The breakfast thing was just a problem, we didn't really understand what was going on.

I liked the location. The room had two beds that was ok. And the stuff was easy to talk to,pretty friendly.

I selected "pay at premises" option when making the booking, which was confirmed in the email by booking.com - stating categorically that NO upfront payment is required. However, Links guesthouse just went ahead a snatched the amount from my credit card 4 days prior to arrival without any prior warning. One member in our group was supposed to pay all of our stay - now I have to do a long claim process, which was not supposed to be the case. If the guesthouse wants to secure their cashflow upfront, that is fine - BUT then that should be clearly communicated while making the booking. I believe Links guesthouse is deliberately selling "lenient" terms to get customers - but have no intention of honoring those terms. Also, I requested the paying organization to be copied in the email for the tax invoice - obviously this wasn't done. Also, it isn't ideal that the breakfast didn't take place at the premises or even in the estate - we had to drive to a restaurant few km away.

WE ARRIVE THERE 19H30. IT WAS DARK NO LIGHTS OUTSIDE AND ONLY ONE LIGHT INSIDE. I HAVE TO CALL FOR ASSISTANCE BY SAYING HALLLOOOOO I LADY APPROACH US VERY FRIENDLY. SHE SHOW OUR ROOM BUT AS FAR AS SHE WALK SHE HAS TO SWITCH LIGHTS ON, SHE WAS TWO SLOWLY FOR US, WITHOUT ANY WARNING IN THE DARK OF A STEP I FELL DOWN WITH MY LUGGAGE IN MY HAND AND I INJURED MY KNEE AND MY SHOULDER. THE BREAKFAST WAS NOT WHAT WE EXPECT. ONLY ONE SLICE OF TOAST PER PERSON.

Small things - need to check that there are more than just Rooibos tea in the room refreshment thing. Why don't you switch to keycards?

the b'fast was fine. Good enough, can't complain. I can't complain about the location - my assistant chose it because it worked for our investigation as a base. Interested in the whole 'live in a gated golf club' lifestyle - I suppose recreates the safe village of long ago! I'm not a big fan of brutalist architecture, but the room was fine, and I liked the chance to lie in a hot bath!

The presentation was not good, the fact that things was advertise as been available but wasn’t, no bar, no lunch or dinner available at the property no minibar, it was advertised that washing and ironing was available as a paid service I asked and was told that its not available. Dishes were piled up and un washed for long periods. No cups to make coffee. Milk was supplied un sealed glass bottles and was sour. There was ants every where. The towels , was stained and table cloths was dirty and not replaced frequently. It was not five star as it was made out to be. We did not feel very safe as the doors were not locked every thing was left open. Even the security gate is permanently open. The lighting is very poor, in most of the living areas.

The building is nice and spacious, and in a good location, in a secured estate.
