That we had to leave

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Every day when we got home the pool was cleaned and already hot. The bed was comfy and the tent is very spacious. The braai area was great for sitting around the fire and you still have space to braai. Hot water all the time.

Noise and Privacy Issues: The noise from the neighboring unit continued to be a major issue. Despite the manager's assurances that he would speak to the noisy guests, the situation did not improve. At one point, the music was turned down, but it quickly became extremely loud again, disrupting our attempt at a peaceful retreat. The manager seemed at a loss for how to handle the situation and eventually referred us to the next property for a quieter stay. We also encountered privacy issues with the hot tub, which was visible from two different units. Although it was clean and functional, the lack of privacy was disappointing. I requested an old sheet or blanket to cover the wood fence for some form of seclusion, but the manager did not follow through on this request. Overall, our stay was less than satisfactory due to the excessive noise and lack of privacy. While the property had potential, these issues overshadowed the positives. We could have managed the detached facilities and worked around the visible hot tub if the noise levels had been controlled. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations for a restful and tranquil getaway. We reached out requesting a refund but was told this was a cancellation and they cannot refund us. We requested they should reconsider but no response.

Accommodation Review: Disappointing Experience with Noise and Privacy Issues Our recent visit at this property was a mixed experience, with some positive aspects overshadowed by significant negatives. Here's a detailed account of our visit: Arrival and Check-In: Navigating to the property using Google Maps was very easy. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly security personnel, which gave a good first impression. However, the check-in process at reception was a bit different than we expected. Despite this, everything went smoothly, and a gentleman escorted us to our accommodation – a fully structured tent. Accommodation: The tent was advertised as a 4-star unit according to South African standards, but it didn't quite live up to that rating. Firstly, the noise and music from the neighboring unit were extremely loud, which significantly impacted our experience. On the positive side, the tent itself was clean. Facilities: When we inquired about the kitchen, bathroom, and toilet, we were informed that they were detached from the unit. The separate structure was locked with a security gate, and we were advised to keep it locked for safety. This raised a red flag, especially since our tent could not be locked and was made of material. The manager mentioned that the security was necessary due to the large number of people present that weekend, which didn't alleviate our concerns.

The white towels were cleans but the color is fading has they don't have the white shiness. I suggest you soak them with washing powder, vinegar and bicarbonate or soda to bring back the white brightness colour. Other than that everything was great the place was very cleans and daily housekeeping.

Some steps on the ladder down to the braai seemed to be rotten. Check those. The last stepping stone also loose and moved - almost fell.

We enjoyed everything about our stay - from the comfort and coziness that the luxury tent offers to the hot tub and the views that come with it, that makes it perfect for when you stay here in summer or winter. The privacy per unit is perfect. The service rendered by the staff was exceptional! When we arrived the room was smelling like mould, the towels were smelling like they were wet for days and were kept there to dry off, we had neighbors that threw a party until 02am and no security came to reprimand them, there was an offensive smell around the jacuzzi. The security is not so good I mean we just drive in and out with an automatic gate no searching nothing. The place is too close to the road so we barely slept at night.

We loved the jacuzzi and the tent experience. The staff was excellent especially the guy that worked at the reception, he drove around the lodge to check on things, anything we needed he delivered and in time and he was very friendly too from check-in to check out.

In our opinion was the ratio quality versus price, very bad. Everything the site promised was available. But the state of everything: the furniture, the stove, the curtains, etc. was very bad. We didn't feel comfortabel at the location. Tranquil's Nest supposed to be a 4 star location. In our opinion was the rating of 4 stars, much tot high.

I loved my stay at Tranquil Nest for the fact that it is in the bush, slept in a big nice tent, the pool and the Jacuzzi gave us greatest moment of all times. It is a place for one to rearrange some things of some sort and still be happy.

Beautiful scenery. The staff was so accommodating. Rooms were clean and the Aircon helped a lot with the heat. The jacuzzi was clean and amazing. The fire pit creates an atmosphere. We stayed in glamping tent 1 and it was so peaceful. Would recommend this to all.

Using gas for geyser, it’s difficult to operate but you get used to it.

The Chalet was so nice and the place is in the bush. There’s peace and quietness,very clean , the kitchen is big. Favourite thing about that place is the jacuzzi 😍😁
