the use of the spa was too expensive for a hot jacuzzi and a sauna. our rooms where far from each other - not so great for a family with kids. and in general - its not a very good hotel for young adults... it's better for honey moon couple.

it's a great little paradise. just in the middle of the forest. very unicqe experience. very good breakfast. really taking care of all the little details.

Everything was incredible! The room was cosy and warm for the winter chill, the massages were high quality, the platter and meals were such good quality, perfect quantities and served on time every time. The place was breath taking....you walk in it feels like you entering heaven on earth. My room was just perfect for a solo trip. Staff - Wonderful, Bruce, Harry and Mike were amazing..they took care of me like a Queen. By the way it was my birthday so I lived my dream literally. The Forest Spa was heaven ..therapeutic and magical. The spa treatments was world class. Loved the variety of the food. I can't fault this place. Let's talk about room 2 I was booked in and 1 next door mine n reception. You would hear everything to the cough, the conversation, the food smelling in the morning for breakfast then music from reception and staff talking. I didn't mind cos it felt home for me since I grew so font of the staff, someone who need a very quiet time since the place offers that might want any room other than 2 and 1. Being on solo trip and could hear the other room midmorning having sex shocked me that the two rooms dont have much privacy 🤔. 🌹 Rose

Absolutely nothing.

Hotel staff were very accommodating and available to assist wherever required. The hotel only has five rooms, so you are given personalised individual attention. We requested halaal meals, and the chef, Bruce, went out of his way to accommodate our request, giving us exceptional breakfasts and dinners. The spa experience was wonderful, with a warm bubbly jacuzzi and sauna to warm you on a winters evening. The 1km dirt road leading to the hotel is well kept, and does not require a 4x4 to traverse. Taking a walk along this dirt road also allows you to spot some of the monkeys from monkeyland 😊 We definitely consider ourselves part of the Trogon family after our stay there. Thanks to Wonderful, Bruce, Carol, Brenda, Harry and Marco for contributing to the exceptional experience. Overall a wonderful place to cut off, destress and find seclusion in a forest environment. Will definitely be going back!

In one word: unforgettable! Can’t say enough about the amazing staff, the great rooms, the views, the food and the massages. Our advice: do it all. Stay for the dinner, have the massage, have a drink at sunset - you’ll feel like you’re on your honeymoon!

Immersed in the trees, each cabin meticulously placed, the breathtaking views surrounding each cabin, is nothing short of spectacular. The mostly glass structure is instrumental in the ambience created in this beautiful setting. The staff is kind and warm. I big thank you to, Wonderfull, Marko, Bruce, Brenda and Carol. Amazing people, in this hidden gem. Be sure to book a 2hour exclusive spa session, with champagne and a platter. Wonderfull gave us such an amazing set up with candles and a crackling fire… in our room as well as the private spa session. Very romantic… Through in a couples massage and you have a recipe for a truly romantic, relaxing evening. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable.

No door on the shower room. Make sure you are very comfortable with the person you are travelling with!

Location (middle of the forest), construction (a tree house!), decor, comfort, balcony towards the forest, shower with floor-to-ceiling window towards the forest, view at breakfast, the food (both breakfast and dinner), fireplace at dinner, the singing of the birds and croaking of the frogs. Couldn't have asked for a more romantic setting! The staff are delightful and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Wonderful was indeed wonderful!
