Warthog's Rest was the perfect stay for our family with very comfortable rooms and a festive outdoor area where we could enjoy a dip in the pool or sit by the fire and listen to the birds.

Superb location and very comfortable facilities. Enjoyed the occasional visit by wildlife including, of course warthogs.

When you turn the sink's right knob in the first bedroom to the right, it does not put water out.

The rooms were clean. Plenty of room for our 5 guests. Everyone seemed pleased with their room. The contact was easily available when needed.

I just wish the pool was bigger...but the kids enjoyed swimming nonetheless.

The quietness, security and the long walks I took with family enjoying nature n the animals. The people were friendly on the streets. They will stop and ask if we were ok.

First the communication before arrival was super. We didn't have to phone and check whether they were expecting our arrival. Very professional and friendly reception. The house and the facilities were super clean and we found all that we needed. The outside shower and bath 💃💃💃🕺🕺🕺

It was spacious and light. The rooms were lovely and the outside area with swimming pool and fire pit was beautiful. The kitchen and sitting area were great too and had everything we needed. And it was cleaned for us every day!

The locks of the sliding doors were a bit difficult to open and close and the lighting can be upgraded to Magneto rechargable led lights. There were no load-shedding bulbs in the lamps in the bedrooms or in the main house. An added bonus would be a bag of wood and a pack of firelighters for the boma, which can be included in the cost.

The 4 rooms were situated outside of the house and big enough. The bathrooms in 2 of the rooms were exceptional as you could shower or bath outside and inside. We had a family of warthogs under the floorboard. The blankets left on the chairs around the fireplace were a perfect addition. Fantastic experience with the entire house to ourselves. We felt safe.

There were just a few places that were not very clean but it was still neat. Some of the bathroom towels had marks on them. Few of the cups were not cleaned throughly. There was also an issue with hot water, we seem to not have enough hot water for a shower, and couldn’t fill a bath without the hot water running out quickly so we rather left the bath which was a pity. Not sure if it is cause of the type of geyser or if its on a timer or if its the load shedding.

It was a bit of a schlep to get in and out of the property, but it's a small price to pay to feel safe!

Beautiful place in a beautiful location. Our stay was definitely too short. Enjoyed our time around the fire as a family and the place definitely lives up to its name as a mother warthog and her baby slept under the stoep at night. Highly recommend!
