Lovely experience overall. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Sleeping on futons was a bit rough as someone used to a memory foam bed but that was to be expected. Was a nice break from the business of Tokyo etc.

The staff at Jukeiso went above and beyond to help us. We arrived on the island about 10 minutes before check-in stopped
We’d never been so we figured we’d just call a taxi. That wasn’t going to happen. We called and they sent their driver to pick us up last minute. They took all of our luggage up, they helped us make a last minute reservation at one of the only open restaurants on the island and then hand drew directions to the restaurant on a map for us. They allowed us to make a last minute breakfast reservation and then they delivered our bags to the ferry station the next day. All that to say, we were clueless foreigners who weren’t really prepared for a night on Miyajima island, and they saved our asses. 10/10

The location is awesome. Really beautiful environment, full of nature. The hotel is a mixed between modern and traditional Japanese style. The food was very good, but also with some occidental feeling. In general it is a great place to stay, eat well and enjoy the island. Staff super friendly and I will definitely stay again.

This was a very peaceful, restful place to stay. I was surprised that I felt that way, but I did. Very different atmosphere from a hotel. My daughter and I slept like rocks in the spacious room. The traditional Japanese breakfast was absolutely incredible: delicious, varied and filling. The bathtub in the room was amazing: deep and huge and made of wood. I loved it.

Everything was fantastic - the rooms came with Yukatas, pajamas, vests, tea, water, a towel bag and one face wash set. The breakfast in the morning was unbelievable - that alone made the price well worth it, but add in the baths and lovely rooms & decor - just an unbelievable stay.

Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
Really nice ocean view onsen. Afterwards you Can help yourself with free draft beer and other nice stuff. Has its own boat and shuttle service to the station.
Some staff could speak English well, and everyone was very accommodating about our limited Japanese. The free yukata use was a nice touch, as was the availability of free drinks and ice lollies. We also used the hotel shuttle to the train station, and the hotel boat to Miyajima. The views of Miyajima from the hotel were great, though if you're staying on the mountain view side of the hotel you may see more car park than mountain. We were given fresh towels every day, including when we had the "do not disturb" sign up.
The spa is sensational.
Spacious room.
Fashionable yukata provided.
Nice terrace with a view.
Beautiful restaurant with a view.
Breakfast is deep and tasty, with nice Bento with daily selection.
Many drinks and snacks are available for guests free of charge.
Very friendly landlady. Good communication.
Beds were either inflatable mattresses or futons. It was our first experience with futons: we were pleasantly surprised and slept well.
The building and decorations are just amazing! The location is close to the shrine and shopping street. With a cute cat and reservable private onsen! The owner Junya San is really kind and friendly, he hosted us with 日本酒and snacks, and recommended me local food. The staff Thomas gives great tour of the hotel and play PlayStation with kidswhile parents checking in, a very responsible and enthusiastic man! What I’m trying to say is they are as incredible as Miyajima and the Sakura 👍It’s really a pleasure to meet them!
It’s right across from Miyajima, so it was within walking distance from the train station. The onsen made it worth the price. The breakfast was traditional Japanese with a select few Western items like french toast and cereal.
