Located in Munakata, 2.8 km from Joko-ji Temple and 3.1 km from Umi no Michi Munakata Hall, Genkai Ryokan provides a restaurant and sea views.

Understated design elegance of the rooms; helpful staff and an amazing dinner/breakfast - we did splurge on the room and the dinner options and had the room with the hot tub/bath on the deck - it was lovely! Loved listening to the pounding surf.

Kokumin Shukusha Marine Terrace Ashiya is located in Kitakyushu, 600 metres from Ashiyagama no Sato Village, 2.2 km from Okanominato Shrine, and 6.6 km from Mizumaki-town Historical Museum.

Very friendly staff and their effort to use online instant translator to communicate with foreign guests is appreciated. Quick response to my question upon booking. The Japanese style guestroom I stayed in was big, clean, comfortable and enjoyed a panoramic seaview. Breakfast was great. The hotel enjoys a tranquil environment, but restaurants or shops are not within short walking distance, i.e. visiting there with a car will be better.

The room was very clean. Staff was really friendly especially the ladies in kimonos who explained everything in details from the use of facilities to the food that’s served to us. Onsen was soothing and relaxing. Would definitely recommend to anyone who love onsens.

Offering mountain views, Dainichiya-ryokan is an accommodation situated in Sasaguri, a few steps from Akashi-ji Temple and 600 metres from Yamate Kannondo Temple.

Absolutely wonderful. The traditional facilities were all that I had hoped for. The food was delicious and exquisitely presented. The owners were so kind and accommodating with my poor Japanese. Temple prayers and a meditative divinity tracing experience made my whole stay perfect.
