The presence of Miele and Siemens appliances, including a washer and dryer, dish washer, a top-notch oven, and innovative dish warming feature, elevates convenience. A generous supply of pantry items, spices, tea, coffee, and more was left for us. The sheer abundance of cutlery, dishes, and cookware is unparalleled. There's no doubt this apartment is tailored to perfection, just like a personal home. It leaves no desire unfulfilled, with every amenity of the highest standard. A true masterstroke of a stay that we will remember for a long time.

Offering free bikes and river view, Chambre aux bord de l'Areuse is located in Areuse, 26 km from International Watch and Clock Museum and 48 km from Forum Fribourg. Guests can benefit from a balcony and a sun terrace. The accommodation offers a lift and a shared kitchen for guests. Irma is a wonderful host and I had a great stay! There was a little bit of a language barrier, but we easily resolved that with Google Translator. This was my first stop among many through Switzerland and its location is great; very close to train station, accessible hikes for a lifetime, and a great stop before exploring the rest of Switzerland. Irma was also extremely kind providing me with a transport pass for my time there, which was useful taking the train from Boudry to Noiraigue for the hike down the Areuse Gorge (highly recommend this hike). I'll definitely come back if I'm fortunate enough to visit western Switzerland in the future!

Each unit features a large working desk and a kitchenette. There is also a shared kitchen with staple foods. Breakfast is not available. Amazing Boutique Hotel, renovated with love of details, each room has its own atmosphere. The owner is so nice and attentive; she received us personally, gave us the tour of the property, and helped us out with every single question or request we had during our stay. The room we got was very spacious and had a balcony. 5 minutes walk from the train station. Breakfast is not included, but there is a very nice and spacious common kitchen on the first floor; the fridge has eggs, cheese, butter, etc. for free use of the guests. There is a bakery right next door, so no problem to get fresh bread / rolls in the morning. There is also a kitchenette in the room, but we didn't use it. Highly recommended.

The Museum of Arts and History can be toured 1.9 km from the apartment, while the Ethnographic Museum can be visited 3 km off. OK, the apartment was very roomy and in someways rustic, but in also elegant. Our host Andre gave a great deal of effort to have everything that we need in the place from the kitchenware to coffee and a little things like jam and peanut butter. There is tremendous view of the lake from the apartment, which makes the climb up the stairs worth it. The TV and wifi was great.
