Meikle Aucheoch Holiday Cottage, plus Hot Tub, Near Maud, in the heart of Aberdeenshire offers accommodations in Peterhead, 18 miles from Tolquhon Castle and 20 miles from Fyvie Castle.

It’s a good wee get away in middle of nowhere, just to relax and unwind. Using hot tub was lovely and looking up the sky. Bath was also a luxury for me because I only have shower at home. TV is a smart tv which was great. Allows you to browse your own Netflix.

    Costal location and although it’s not a picture postcard village, there are nice walks around the lighthouse. Food was fantastic and the staff friendly and helpful. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. They even bought some breakfast food that I requested.

    We had an absolutely AMAZING day at this wonderful house. Mary, the host, was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The facilities exceeded or expectations, creating a perfect retreat for my partner and me. We highly recommend this charming place for a memorable and delightful gateway.

    The facilities were just breathtaking, incredibly well looked after and luxury standards. The bedrooms are massive and very very comfortable, equipped with everything you can need and the access to a pool and jacuzzi are great. The couple who live there and run it are incredible kind and helpful, they recommended places for take away and to visit around and they make you feel like you’re visiting family. Very very recommended!

    Well situated for us to have a look around some of Aberdeenshire's fantastic fishing villages. Staff were great and very friendly, nothing was too much bother. Gave great advice on local attractions. Breakfast was very good and catered for gluten free.

    The room was spacious and comfortable, with careful consideration given to everything we could possibly need, eg sewing kit, shoe polisher etc. The breakfast was of a particularly high quality, freshly cooked by the lovely Sheena. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive. We would certainly return here again. We would particularly like to thank Sheena for her tips on the fishing villages along the coast. We really enjoyed visiting them.
